Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee (Xbox, 2003)

This is the best Godzilla game out there .The Xbox version is also a vast improvement over the Gamecube version of the same game.The graphics are more detailed and bigger and the controls feel a lot better and less loose.Great 2 player mode plus and adventure/story mode for each character and a Destruction mode where you can just smash buildings into the ground.The characters are just like the movies and all the sound effects are just right .Some of the cities feel a little boxed in but that's my only gripe with the game .Overall great game buy it if you like Godzilla or just like fighting games or want an upgrade to the boring Rampage remake that was dire. Also works great on the Xbox 360 .

This is definitely no street fighter so don't expect these huge monsters to move like nimble little mammals. It's not a button masher and while the number of moves is not deep, there is strategy to the action because of the pace of these monsters.

The best thing about this game is the party atmosphere as you can have 4 players duking it out on the screen, especially if you have a big HDTV.

The graphics are great. It's like being in the movie. You can tell these people watched the movies. If you ever loved the movies, you can relive your childhood fantasies. Would've been cool if they threw in King Kong as some sort of unlocking bonus. I haven't played the sequel (Godzilla: Save the Earth), but I read that it has monsters that didn't make it into this one. I would've loved to have Jet Jaguar but I guess I'll have to pick up the sequel for the others. Too bad they didn't make the third game for the Xbox.

This time around we bought this as a replacement to a Godzilla disk that no longer works. My son thinks Godzilla is awesome and likes this game alot. He is the driving force for this purchase.
I think play and graphics are good, my son thinks awesome.
It is playable on the 360 too.
I asked him again about this game and his reply is ...awesome.

This is a really nice game to play, my kids really enjoy getting to pick different monsters to play. They said the play action was good, and really liked destroying cities.

I owned the game before and it is very fun and awesome!! The game consists of different monsters that you may open up and use. I also like that you may play multi-player against friends. It is a great game all together and it is one of my favorite Xbox games out there!!
