One Of The Best Godzilla Movies

    Created: 23/08/06
Even though this movie involves the cliche hostile aliens, it was the first...so you can't argue it's originality. The plot is solid: Aliens pretend to come in peace and borrow their strongest monsters - Godzilla and Rodan - to defeat the threat on their home planet, The Monster Zero. Monster Zero, as it turns out to be, is King Ghidora. The aliens have other motives, though, as they really use the Earth's monsters and Ghidora, who are under their control, to destroy the planet. So the plot is good, we get TONS of monster action (destroying cities and fighting one another) and the acting is pretty good for once. The people help move this story along and, for once, they are actually crucial to telling the story and saving the day. The special effects are pretty good too. All in all, this film is definitely a must have for all monster movie fans and especially Godzilla fans. If you can get your hands on it, do it - this movie can be a rare find on DVD. I will say, though, that it's well worth the $40 you could end up spending on it! A great Godzilla film!

Oh, there is one downside...a sort of unintentional laugh comes when Godzilla does some sort of dance; it really looks like he's doing an Irish jig or something. Once you wipe the tears of laughter from your eyes, though, it's a great monster/action flick.

Godzilla vs Monster Zero Movie and DVD

    Created: 24/03/06
This was the first Godzilla in space movies. The story & effects in this were fantastic, despite a few plot holes. This film contains the Godzilla skip after he & Rodan chase Ghidorah off. This film also contains the late great Nick Adams who in this film implied he was sleeping with his girlfriend in the movie which wasn't a subject covered in Japanese/Kaiju films during that time. The movie is a lot of fun and makes a great popcorn film. This was considered another last of the classic Godzilla movies as Inoshiro Honda only did 3 more Godzilla movies after this(in addition to a few other Kaiju films)
Very entertaining & good EFX, miniatures, etc. The Simitar DVD is widescreen and the print is great. Some scenes are so clear you can see the wires on Ghidorah's back(oh well!) Very well recommended. This was the only film that wasnt re-released when Classic Media put out their DVDs that Simitar had released years ago, which is why it is sought after. Other Simitar titles like Godzilla, Godzilla's Revenge, Godzilla vs Mothra and The Terror Mechagodzilla were re-released by Classic Media & were actually subpar to Simitar since they were bare bones and were full frame....

    godzilla-vs-monster zero

I bought this dvd for my son..he's 5 yrs old and has followed moms lead and developed an avid interest in Godzilla.. we are starting our own little collection and trying to find some of the hard to find titles. This one was of particular interest because it boasts the "monster zero".. which is actually "King Ghidora".. It's a good flick..but ya' gotta love Godzilla...I really like this one because I don't have to do the audio set up on it..it goes right to english...I don't have to turn off the subtitles and select language... good deal!!!

For the genre, this is a good one!

My son is the Godzilla afficionado, and he gave it the thumbs up! Monster zero is really King Ghidora and the action rocks. For an older movie the special effects are good and the story line with the sneaky aliens betrayal is more interesting than some of the other Godzilla movies.
