Movie synopsis
One of the most popular television shows of the 1980s, THE GOLDEN GIRLS was created by television writer Susan Harris (SOAP). The show centered on four elderly single women living in the same house together, all played by sitcom veterans: sensible Dorothy (Bea Arthur), sweet but stupid Rose (Betty White), lusty Blanche (Rue McClanahan), and Dorothy's outspoken mother Sophia (Estelle Getty). The program was nominated for many Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and was consistently in Nielsen's top 10 for its entire run, garnering both critical acclaim and public popularity. It also proved daring for its time, tackling sensitive political issues and for the mere fact it was a prime time show whose characters were much older than television's most desired demographic. SEASON TWO collects all 25 episodes from the program's second year, and features guest stars such as Burt Reynolds, George Clooney, and Rita Moreno.

) Season 2 is great and a definite must-have if you're a fan of this show. If you're feeling blue there's no one better than Dorothy, Blanche, Rose & Sophia to lift your spirits. Guest stars Burt Reynolds, George Clooney and Rita Moreno enhance some of the episodes. This season we also start meeting some of the ladies' family memebers. Very funny and sweet. You won't be disappointed.

This is another great season of the Golden girls. A lot of stuff happens this season. They have a lot of visitors. This season is full of humor, Jealousy, and sexiness. Blanch goes through menopause. Rose and Dorothy’s kids hook up and they aren’t very pleased about it. Blanch dates Stan. Criminals move in next door and 2 officers take up stakeout out of their home. There are 25 episodes total and a run time of 644 minutes (10 hours 44 minutes). Young or old, you won’t be disappointed in this DVD set.

First Bad Experience on EBAY! Never received this dvd!

Wanted this particular "Golden Girls Second Season DVD Set" forever & finally WON it at a great price point! Then, never received the item from Seller! So, guess I will really never know if the set was great viewing or not! Lesson learned: Always check the sellers percent rating! Although there is always a first time for every buyer! Hopefully, this hasn't changed by love for the "DVD Set" or EBAY itself! It's still a GREAT WAY to shop!!!
The Golden Girls

) I bought this season because it was the last one I needed to complete a collection of all seven seasons. Just like all of the other seasons, I can watch these episodes over and over and each time they seem fresh and are just as funny as the first time I saw them. One bonus: due to current advertising times in the average 30 minute sitcom episode, I find these to be a minute or two longer than when watched on TV, and although the added time is not crucial to any of the plot lines, it's very enjoyable indeed. I've actually heard a few new Saint Olaf stories! Always a hoot.

Who doesn't love the Golden Girls. I grew up watching this show and I still love it. There aren't many good family shows out there like this anymore. I still laugh just as hard watching it all over again as I did the first time I watched them. They always make my day brighter. Great DVD.
