The circumstances may be different -- different enough to lead to a Billy Joel cameo on "I Saw Her Standing There," the piano man returning a favor from Paul, who played at Billy's Shea-closing shows in 2008 -- and McCartney might have two strong albums of new material to draw upon, but ...

Good Evening New York City

I would recommend this CD/DVD package to anyone who has never had the good fortune to attend a McCartney concert since it will give you a glimpse into what an event it is. Those that have attended his concerts will enjoy reliving the experience. The production values are solid, the editing good, and the raw energy between the band and the audience is captured.

This concert commemorates the opening of Citi Field Stadium which replaced Shea Stadium. There are flashbacks to the Beatles playing "I'm Down" at Shea, at the height of Beatlemania. Vintage footage is interspersed with the present day Sir Paul and band playing this great song.

There are thirty-three songs in all which are duplicated on the two CDs and the concert DVD. These songs showcase the meriad of styles and showcase the great songwriting talent and musical virtuosity of this living legend. There are songs from every decade with accompanying graphics behind the stage to enhance the experience.

Paul and the band give it their all and hold nothing back with Paul's voice still clear and strong. Billy Joel pays a special visit and belts out "I Saw Her Standing There" with Paul.

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Paul continues to inspire and bring happiness to so many with his youthful energy and superabundant talents.
Thank you to Paul and the band for sharing all this with us.

This probably one of the greatest live albums ever done. This 2 disc set plus dvd of the concert is awesome. You get the concert without the talking of Paul McCartney in between songs on the cd's, which you do get on the DVD. Billy Joel plays piano on I saw her standing there. Paul does alot of Beatles songs as well. Paul really displays his talents on Vocals, lead guitar, bass guitar and piano and with the setting at the Citi Field stadium brings out a lot of emotion for Paul as he remembers the time of the Beatles playing at the old shea stadium in the 60's. So grab a copy of this and sit back enjoy one of the greatest song writer/performer ever!!!

Ageless Man And Music!

Created: 28/12/10
I have a couple of other McCartney concert dvds from earlier tours and I have to say he just keeps getting better!
His band which has been with him for a few years now is top notch. The enthusiasm for the material is very evident. Of course, who wouldn't be thrilled to be playing these songs with the man who wrote them and recorded them?
Paul's vocals are for the most part outstanding. No lowering of keys here. He still can belt out a rocker like "I'm Down" or "Helter Skelter" and sound equally as good on "Yesterday". I only hope I have as much energy as he has when I am that age. Truly amazing.
The sound and camera work are good, and special guest Billy Joel adds some vocals and piano on "I Saw Her Standing There".
Even if you have earlier concert dvds of Paul, this is worth purchasing.

Nothing like a live performance even on CD

Created: 09/03/10
As a fan of Paul M., my brother-in-law was thrilled to receive this CD. I saw an episode on PBS and was in awe of hearing music from the past and present, as well as a Billy Joel appearance. Good music, good sound... A really great show for anyone who likes music and feeling as if you're there at the concert in-person.
