Gossip Girl - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2008, 5-Disc Set)

I absolutely love Gossip Girl! All the 18 episodes that are in the first season are just the beginning to what will come in the future and in the second season as well. Serena and Blair's chemistry is awesome, as much as they do fight often, really their hearts are in the right place and no matter what they are always there for each other. I think it also shows that everything's not always what it seems, even if you have money, that doesn't make everything perfect. It also shows that not all fairytales come true and later on just when you think you'll be with the person you "thought" you'd end up with - you might just end up loving the one person you never thought possible. I guess it just goes to show that anything can happen and I think that's what makes the show so interesting and keeps everyone hooked on it.

I absolutely LOVE Gossip Girl. I look forward to Monday nights each week. Even though I was never into the book series, I think the show is great. The books were geared toward teenage girls and the show is a little more adult themed, even though the characters are in high school. The show follows a group of high school kids who go to a fancy prep school and have A LOT of money. The plotlines are fun and juicy, and I enjoy every minute. Picture a modern day 90210 with fabulous fashion and a lot more scandal. Highly recommend!!

I had never seen Gossip Girl on TV before, but I had been hearing a lot about it and the premise of the show sounded like something I would like since I was an avid OC lover, as well as obsessed with New York City- and sure enough, I absolutely love this show! I can't wait to get through all of the first season so I can catch up with it on TV! It's a great series for anyone looking for something to replace the hole that the OC left.

I bought the first season of Gossip Girl about two weeks ago and I love it! I had only seen one episode and I had to get the first season! It's a great teenage drama.

I initially didn't watch Gossip Girl on tv because I thought it was overhyped and considered the book series it is based on as "too commercial". I gave the first book in the series a chance and that go me interested in the tv series. I consider the series much better than the books. The characters are likable, funny, the actors all do an amazing job, and the writing is a great mix of comedy and drama. It's a Josh Schwartz show (creator of The O.C. and Chuck) and it really shows (in a good way).
