    Movie synopsis

Bringing together historic fact, fiction and modern horror, this film tells the story of Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley and Lord Byron's experimentations with love, sex and drugs that purportedly inspired Mary Shelley to write the novel FRANKENSTEIN. See HAUNTED SUMMER for an interesting comparison.

    Gotta love those Opium trips!

    Created: 24/11/05
Gothic is a quirky little movie about Percy Shelly, Mary Goodwin (later to become Mary Shelly), Claire Clairemont, John Polidori, and Lord Byron. They all decide to hold a seance while under the effects of Opium. They have horrifying visions all night long. From this weekend Frankenstein was born, as was Vampyre by John Polidori. I personally think that this was well put together and very well acted. I would recommend this film to everyone!

family favorite but with a different artwork

    Created: 02/07/06
This has long been a family favorite in my family. It covers the stories behind all our personal favorites the vampire, the werewolf,frankenstein..etc and it has a nice twist in it. It was my baby sisters personal favorite of our childhood and with her birthday turning her into a middle aged woman I wanted to help her hold on to some of her youth...she loved it. And I loved the price. The only thing that I really didnt like was the cover art for this dvd was not the same cover art we saw as children...with a strange lil pointy eared elf or something purched on an unconscious woman ...
