Gracie's Choice (DVD, 2005)

This was an excellent movie. Kristen Bell and Anne Heche played amazing parts. Anne Heche was a drugged out abusive mother. She was in and out of jail alot. Kristen played the oldest sister Gracie. She had a 1 sister, and 3 brothers. She decided to get a job, get an apartment and take care of her brothers (her sister got pregnant and moved out)This movie was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. It has a happy ending though and i would definitely recommend this movie to anyone.

I saw an ad of this movie on TV and because I don't have a cable TV I decided to llok on Ebay. Fortunately the movie wan available and pretty cheap:))(around $8total for NEW) I love K.Bell character on Veronica Mars and totally adore her voice as a Gossip Girl, but I was stunned by her apperiance on Gracie's Choice. She was very convincing, and the movie it self was very touching.
Definitely recommending if you're looking for something good, fresh and real.

Ps.Keep some tissues handy

I loved this movie, simply because it's based on a true story of a girl fighting for what she truly believes in... Gracie raised her siblings when there was nobody else to help them and it shows that if you care you will go along way... I'm a social worker and it really touched my heart and soul to see this movie... I could watch it all day and night and never get tired of watching it...

Super excellent movie! It is about a young girl that raises her siblings because her mother is always neglecting her children. The mother parties and leaves her children alone. Gracie always takes care of them and sees they have what they need..most important being Love! Gracie proceeds to adopt them after seeing her mother will not change. Highly recommended!

A young daughter (Gracie) is forced to seek custody of her siblings when the mother continues her years of neglect. The young ones look to Gracie to get them off to school and perform all the motherly chores. My wife and I are the guardians of a young man whose mother simply gave him away to us because he was too difficult to deal with. Our young man watched this movie and was deeply touched so we had to buy the movie for him. He could relate to the feelings of abandonment from his own mother. A great movie of a young person who overcame her circumstances.
