With Great Mercy by Kathy Taylor and Kathy Gilbert Taylor (2006, Paperback)

I came across this book while surfing the internet. I was thrilled to find something because I had recently been diagnosed with this dreaded illness called trigeminal neuralgia. I had been misdiagnosed with TMJ 27 years ago and the pain I experienced with this is just not easy to describe. The pain is horrible. I spent several years living with the horrible electric shock like pains shooting through my jaw and face. I couldn't eat or drink. It just took over my life. I spent thousands of dollars trying to treat it and nothing much worked except I finally found that the chiropractor is the only help I ever got. If I waited too long to go to the chiropractor, then it would come back.

The author describes her experience with trigeminal neuralgia and How God helped her thru it. She describes in detail what her symptoms were. She tells how it took over her life. She had to quit her job and could do nothing but hide away from anyone because it was just too awful to go anyplace. She also describes what caused it to flare up. She discusses how this sickness brought her closer to God and how friends and family literally prayed her thru each episode and she found relief with that.

I was just so thrilled to find someone else who was going thru this and I felt like I had a friend just by reading this book. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for help with this sickness as it is just so encouraging to anyone who wants to know a little more about this.
