Yet another in the Australian label Petrol's Greatest Songs Ever series, the Portuguese version contains 12 tracks from some artists who, while probably not deserving of the "greatest" title, still contribute some pretty good songs. Not to be confused with Brazilian music, this music has a much more -- understandably -- European bent, from the jazzy "Cançao de Embalar" by Jacinta to the poppy "Porto Côvo" by Rui Veloso and "Vício de Ti" by Mesa to the hip-hop of Da Weasel's "Re-Tratamento," yet there's still something distinctly Portuguese about it; whatever that is, it makes Greatest Songs Ever an album worth checking out. ~ Marisa Brown
