Movie synopsis
In this heartwarming film, a Scottish shepherd and his Scots terrier travel to Edinburgh, where the master passes away. A loyal companion, the dog refuses to be adopted by anyone else, and takes up residence in the cemetery. Despite a caretaker who wants the dog banished, and a close call with the law, the terrier eventually becomes a pet to the entire community.

) I loved this movie. I am nearly 60 years old, and I recall my parents taking me to the movies to see Greyfriars Bobby. I was bowled over by the fact that it was available, and on DVD no less. This is a true story about a little Scottish dog named Bobby. Bobby holds the Guinness Book of Records for being the most loyal dog ever known. You will love it, your children will love. I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful (true story) about Jock and his dog Bobby. Great family movie! I saw this movie years ago and loved it then 20+ years later, I still love it as did my grandchildren. After the Christmas Holidays, I saved a dog from crossing an extremely deadly highway...To my very surprise! Not knowing what he actually looked like, when I rescued him (He looks just like Greyfriars Bobby!) No ID on dog and tried to find the owners (Because he was so adorable and smart, I thought someone would surely be missing him!) Lots of calls, but not for this guy. Adopted him and took him to the vet for all of the shots that would be required. Bought the movie so my grandchildren could listen and see the story. Bet you can't guess what I named my new guy??

) A wonderful, heartwarming family movie. We love movies that are based on true stories & have no bad language or scenes in it. This is true to Disney's original standards...not like the newer movies. This one s a keeper.
What a great film, based on a true story!

This is a wonderful story about the tremendous love a dog has for its master and then in turn the love a community has for that same little dog. It has great lessons on loyalty and faithfulness. What a great movie to share with young people who have yet to see it. The fact that it is based on a true story makes even more compelling. Totally worth the time to watch.
