I was looking for a "starter" pet chinchilla book, and this book fits that bill. It provides basic information on feeding, grooming, handling, and health care, along with some background information about chinchillas and a brief discussion on breeding. This 64-page paperback includes a table of contents, an index, over-sized print, and lots of large, colorful, glossy photos. If you are looking for a book that contains thorough, detailed information about chinchillas, this is not the book for you, but if you are just getting started and want to learn the basics in a hurry, this book works for that.
