ps3's Guitar Hero Aerosmith

Created: 30/06/08
Guitar Hero Aerosmith is a great game much like Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock however, there is only about 40 songs and a few bonus tracks. If It would have had around 20-30 more songs on the main play list it would have been perfect 10/10 100% awesome. It is still a really great game that allows you to play a few random but good/well known songs at the beginning of each song set and then brings aerosmith onto the stage with a few of their songs. Guitar Hero Aerosmith does have 1 guitar battle at the end of the game and unlocks an additional song at the end as well. One of the things that I really like about this game is that the vault where you can purchase songs, guitars, finishes, videos, etc has tons on top of tons of guitars for sale. Most of them being under the "special" category. I give this game 5/6 star rating. It has amazing graphics, grade A songs, and just as much heart and soul as any of the previous guitar hero games.

What is there to like about this game? Not much. I dont like the song selection or the how most songs sound when you play them. It seems like they where goin for a live band effect which i think was a mistake. I play guitar hero to rock out with friends and sing along to the songs. It hard to sing along when you can barely hear the words. I think they missed the ball on this one. I think ill try out rock band.

Good game for the price.

If you like guitar hero then you will enjoy this game. Gameplay is the same as the other previous GH games. The game had some good videos about the history of the band and the game looked great and ran smooth on the PS3 console. The downfall is there aren't that many songs to play and not that many bonus tracks. I expected to play more Aerosmith hit songs but was sadly disappointed as I worked my way through the game. For the price it was a good bargain and I am satisfied with my purchase.

Almost just ok

Guitar Hero rocks, so anything to do with it gets points. After being entertained by Legends of Rock for months I was excited to get the Aerosmith addition, after all they are an ok band and have some good songs. I began play the moment the game was delivered and easily stepped through song after song.

I was disappointed in the difficulty as it presented little challenge. I was disappointed in the song selection. I thought I liked Aerosmith better than I did after completing the game. I kind of liked the cover band selections better than the Aerosmith songs.

Sure it provided several hours of entertainment, but it could have been so much more.

Bring on Guitar VAN HALEN, now THAT will ROCK!
