Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - XBOX360
Created: 06/09/08
First of all, you need to know that this game is just filler (like Rocks the 80s was for PS2). You also need to know that this game is NOT for people who like the present, or 90s version of Aerosmith. This game fronts the 70s Aerosmith. I bought this game because I wanted to play more guitar hero. I personally just like variety, and after playing through all songs on expert on GH2, GH3, and Rock Band, I wanted something new to play. After reading the opinions online, I decided to buy it cheaper than 59.99 and it was a good idea. This game is just like what the forums said, "don't buy this for more than 19.99 or you will be disappointed." I played through it on Expert without failing any songs. Sad. And no "Crazy," "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing," "Cryin'," "Jaded," or any of Your Favorite Aerosmith songs. Be prepared to hear a bunch of crap they played back before they knew what they were doing. I don't understand - you play as the band going from the 70s and being unknown, to rock stardom, but they leave out the 90s, and instead they insert Run DMC!?!?
The extra characters are the band members and Run DMC. Booo. There are some extra outfits and styles for the regular characters, and a double-necked guitar for those who 5 star all songs on the Hard or Expert difficulty.
Buy it on eBay, or wait until its on the Clearance rack.

guitar hero 3 - new cover
Created: 11/10/08
dont get me wrong, this game is fantastic. If you are an aerosmith fan (even just a tiny bit) you will love this game. Im not thrilled with the other bands and tracks on the game but thats ok. In a round about way though, this game is exactly like guitar hero 3 with a new face. the subtleties are phenomenal, including Joe perrys use of a talk box on sweet emotion (you can see the plastic tube coming from the characters mouth). The games overall difficulty seems to stretch a little more than the previous installment which is great for beginners to the game. so yes, the game is totally worth every penny.
As for the hardware, i didn't purchase the "aerosmith" les paul but im assuming it is the same as what came with GH3. great axe, but i did have to make some modifications. After awhile the sensitivity doesnt work and my yellow button wouldnt work. i had to open up the neck and move some stuff around (you can find fixes on youtube.com and other places) after that the guitar has worked perfectly. Compared to the rockband original, i love the strum bar. much tighter.
Check out the game. The only reason i didnt give it an excellent is because i didnt feel it did enough to change from GH3. There are some excellent segways showing the guys in the band and interviewing them which is awesome, and the venues are decent (nipmuck high is cool, after that it gets a little more average). but check it out, enjoy it, rock hard.

Great Game

The game is considered an expansion in the Guitar Hero series, extending upon the general features of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. As with other games in the series, the player uses a guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music by playing in-time to scrolling notes on-screen. It is the first game in the series to primarily focus on the work of one rock band, with Aerosmith songs comprising approximately 60% of the soundtrack, while the remaining songs are from bands that have been influenced by or opened for Aerosmith. The single player Career mode allows the player to follow the history of the band through several real-world-inspired venues, interspersed with interviews from the band members about their past. Aerosmith re-recorded four songs for this game, and have participated in a motion capture session to create their in-game appearances.

Awesome Game

A great game at a great price! My son loves it! This was the first Guitar Hero we experienced and we really enjoy it. Although you can't personalize your own Rocker and you don't make as much money for the gigs as other Guitar Hero games, it is still awesome. Of course we pass on the songs with suggestive lyrics but their are plenty of good, clean songs. We have a great time playing it! Definitely recommended!

GUITAR HERO AEROSMITH

ANOTHER GUITAR HERO GAME, ONE THIS ONE I HAVE TO SAY THE BEST THING IS THE AEROSMITH HITS, BUT FOR ONLY HAVE LIKE 5 OR 6 GREATEST HITS OF AEROSMITH IM GIVIN IT A GOOD RATING, I NEED TO SAY IT SUCKS THAT ONLY THIS SONGS ARE AVAILABLE TRUGH THIS TITLE, THAT MEANS THAT YOU NEED TO PURCHASE THE GAME, WICH IS KIND A SUCKER, CUS FOR 5 SONGS IT WULD BE BETTER TO GET THEM FROM LIVE, BEYOND THAT EVERYTHING IS GREAT, GAME PLAY, THE STRORY OF THE BAND, SO COOL, BUT IF THEY INCLUDED MORE HITS OF AEROSMITH, THIS GAME WOULD BE AS BAD ASS AS GH3! SO IF YOUR A BIG AEROMSITH FAN GET IT IF NOT, MAYBE RENT IT FIRST!!
