Hachi...wonderful family movie
Created: 05/04/11
This is a must see movies for the whole family. Richard Gere was a genuine animal lover in this tear jerker. He takes Hachi temporarily until his owner is found and keeps him indefintely. The dog is a faithful companion who waits for his master everyday at the train station when he gets off work. I loved this movie and would recommend it to any animal lover. I will not ruin it by telling the ending...just rent or buy this wonderful movie. You won't regret it.

sad story line

Was based on a true story. How sad for such a beautiful dog to have lost his master and his home in such a short period of time. To return to the train station evey day for ten years. For the people to care for him making sure he was well taken care of. I do think he should not have been isolated and put into the shed by his self. Being a dog lover I could not do it.

hachi: A Dog's Tale( DVD, 2010)
Created: 12/08/10
The MUST see DVD of all-time that tells the moving story about a Dog's total and undying devotion to it's master. Based on true story about a faithful dog in Japan, this basis of the factual story just makes this story a true eye-opener about Man's true Best Friend. The special features tell an amazing statement about how the A-List Actors really feel about doing Family movies versus the ususal Hollywood factory cookie-cutter productions that get churned out on a regular basis. This movie will leave everyone touched.

Hachi

This is a beautiful story: beautifully filmed, lovely music. Based on the true account of the dog who waited for his deceased master, returning to their meeting-place at the train station every day for ten years, it will bring you to tears. The scene in which the faithful dog is shown, with the seasons changing rapidly behind him, everything changing, and only he remaining constant, is both lyrical and melancholy. Highly recommended.

Hachi: A Dogs Tale

This movie is one of the most touching films I have ever seen...the mere fact that the film was based on a true story truly warms the heart and is really remarkable. If you have ever had a bond with an animal, this film highlights that mystical feeling that we sometimes can share with that animal...this is not a "dog movie" per say...its about the special bond and loyalty that a man and his dog are privileged to feel and experience...believe me, you'll hug your dog at the end of this movie...
