    Half Light DVD Review

    Created: 20/09/10
I purchased this DVD not knowing anything about the premise of the film. The intrigue was soley to see another work of Hans Matheson. He is not exceptionally well known as an actor but has an impressive body of work to his credit. The setting of the film is breathtaking, an a serene scenic seascape. I wanted to be a part of it because of the beauty alone. The acting on Demi Moore's part was not terribly impressive to be fair, but Hans was enchanting to both watch and listen to even when his character does a 180. The story is entertaining enough though not a top notch piece. But I am still pleased I purchased it as I found much pleasure in simply seeing such lovliness on the screen before me.

    Half Light DVD

I am a writer, so I instantly bonded with the character in this movie. My favorite part of the movie was the beautiful scenary involving the village, ocean, and lighthouse where the movie was filmed. The movie has wonderful, intriging twists and turns, and holds your attention to the very end. I have watched it numerous times - if not for the story, then definitely for the enjoyment of the peaceful scenary where I would love to go to write a book.

    Half Light (2006, DVD)

    Created: 05/07/06
I rented this movie and decided I liked it enough to have it in my home library. It's been awhile since I've seen Demi Moore and she does a good job in this thriller set in England and "Scotland." Is her imagination playing tricks on her? Is she going crazy? Is she indeed seeing ghosts? This flick reminds me of the mystery and thriller movies of the '30s, '40s, and '50s I watched on TV as a kid. It doesn't have a lot of foul language; there's gorgeous photography of the country and seaside of the Isles (love those accents too). This one will keep you interested to the very end.

Something light to watch on a rainy weekend day...

I liked this movie. While it isn't high up on Demi Moore's resume I rather enjoyed it. A combination mystery/ghost story, something sure to catch my attention. It's a little predicatible mystery wise, it there was the unexpectedness of the addition of the supernatural element.
