Who Knew Michael Myers Could Drive and Use Mapquest?!

I am always amazed at studios that keep these horror franchises alive. Why not just do a tv show? That way you can have as many Halloween, Friday the 13th, Saw, Nightmare on Elm Street etc. as you want. If they were any different then I could see the reasoning for sequels but they are exactly the same as the originals. I enjoy horror sequels because I like making fun of horror movies. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE horror films, it is my favorite genre. But making fun of the bad ones is part of that love.
H2O is one of those sequels that are done just to make a buck. The only ties to the original are a couple of characters and their history. Updated to suit the new generation of horror fans - not so much horror as "shock" - this one has slick production values, great looking cast with name recognition. I am not saying that in older horror films the actors were not good looking, but they were more real, like the kids next door. Now they look like actors playing "regular" kids.
So Michael is back killing some people and stealing a car. He is after sis Laurie - played by the original Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis - who now runs a snooty private school. There she lives under an assumed name with her son. Of course it is the weekend when everyone is away from the school except Laurie, her kid and a group of his friends - how convenient! Josh Harnett, Michelle Williams, LL Cool J and Adam Arkin have roles, and even Janet Leigh has a small part!
Skip it if you want true horror. For that go rent the first one, heck even the second one but stop there. The rest are just filler. If you are a horror fan that just HAS to watch it, then you must be like me and expects it to be cheesy - which it is.

Halloween & Mr. Hartnett

I don't like scary movies, especially Michael Myers. However, this movie is excellent. I have not seen any of the other movies except for bits and pieces. This movie seems to focus more on the characters and who they are. It's not all about blood and guts and horrible ickiness.
Jamie Lee Curtis continues to be the leading woman, but there is depth to her having to hide herself and her son, fear all consuming every Halloween. Josh Hartnett is great as the son who has never met his uncle and is exasperated with his mother's obsessive alcoholic depression that smothers him trying to spread his wings. Girlfriend, Michelle Williams, is really sweet and pulls through to the end. My favorite, and everyone who's watching, LL Cool J, is the one you root for. He has such a small part throughout the movie, but he is so endearing that you hope he makes in the end (similar to Deep Blue Sea).
There are scary parts, but the people in the movie gets you involved and pulls you in emotionally. Usually in such terror movies, it's all about the quality of blood-splatter and method of mutilation. If you dislike such graphic grotesque images and generally avoid Halloween, Friday 13th, or any other types of "horror" genres, then this movie is mellow enough for you.

Halloween 7 H20 Twenty Years Later Review
Created: 05/04/11
Their Is Nothing To Dislike About It. What I Like About It Is That It Is One Of The Best Halloween Films In The Series. Because It Is Halloween 7 H20 Twenty Years Later. And It Returns Jamie Lee Curtis From Halloween 1 And Halloween 2 The Nightmare Isn't Over. Also What I Like About It Is That Michael Myers Returns For The Sixth Time Known To Have Been Absent From Halloween 3 Season Of The Witch. I Decided To Buy It Because This Is One Of The Halloween Films We Don't Have On DVD. The Only Ones We Have On DVD Is Halloween 4 The Return Of Michael Myers And Halloween 5 The Revenge Of Michael Myers (Both Together) Halloween 6 The Curse Of Michael Myers And Halloween 8 Resurrection. This Is One Of The Films We Still Need Get. The Others Being Halloween (1978) And Halloween 2 The Nightmare Isn't Over. But I Do Like This Halloween Film It Is The Seventh In The Series. Although It Is Sometimes Known As A Direct Sequel To Halloween 2 Meaning Have Jamie Lee Curtis Back. But It Is Still The Seventh Film In My Book. This Film Does Not Feature Donald Pleasence As Dr. Sam Loomis Known To Have Died Shortly After Halloween 6 The Curse Of Michael Myers Was Done Filming. So He Does Not Appear In This Film. Although Their Is The Narrating Of Him From The First Film At The Beginning Voiced By A Sound Alike Tom Kane. And The Whole Speech Can Be Heard. The Speech Is I Met Him Fifteen Years Ago I Was Told That Their Was Nothing Left No Reason No Conscious No Misunderstanding And Even Likes Of Life Or Death Good Or Evil Or Right Or Wrong I Met This Six Year Old Child With This Blank Pale Emotional Face And The Blackest Eyes The Devil's Eyes I Spent Eight Years Trying To Reach Him And Then Another Seven Trying To Keep Him Locked Up Because I Realized What Was Living Behind That Boy's Eyes Was Purely And Simply Evil As Said In The Original Film. And Their Is Also Pictures And Newspapers Talking About Dr. Sam Loomis.

Halloween H2O

I have always been an avid fan of the Halloween franchises, I like this one in particular because it brought back Jamie Lee Curtis after a long hiatus to take on her physcopathic brother Michael Myers once again 20 years later after hiding out from him. One thing i didn't like was it was too short and could have gone into a little more depth as to where Laurie Strode had been over the last 20 years. But other than that it is a great film, a must have for any Halloween collector!!!

Great addition to the halloween franchise

A Halloween fan must own, this return of Michael Myers brings back Jaime Lee Curtis and her older son who ditches a school trip to stay back at a boarding school to have some unsupervised fun, but little does he know that him and his unfortunate few friends that stayed behind will soon succumb to the terrors of a horror legend, who is back yet again to try to settle the score with the one and only Lorie Strode and anyone who dares get in his way.
