All the Dummies books I've read have been very useful. I'm already on chapter three and have learned a lot.
"Discover how to: understand ham jargon, communicate on the air, prepare for the license exam, set up a radio shack, help in an emergency or natural disaster and be a ham on the go."
I've had my license for over 10 years and still have lot to learn. By the way; I'm a female over 50.

I THINK ALL THE "FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS ARE PRETTY WELL DONE. THEY USE HUMOR TO HOLD YOUR ATTENTION. THIS BOOK IS ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS I THINK. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS AWHILE BUT I ALSO READ SOME TIPS AND IDEAS I HADN'T THOUGHT OF OR HAD THOUGHT OF IN A DIFFERENT WAY. I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD IDEAS. THIS BOOK HAS SOME.
