Hamsters: How to Take Care of Them and Understand Them by Matthew M. Vriends and Otto Von Frisch (1990, Paperback)

I borrowed this book from a friend of mine and found it most useful in helping me raise my hamsters a couple years ago. I am a hamster lover and this book shows you almost everything you need to know about keeping the little guys happy and healthy. There are great pictures that prove most helpful when the book gives instructions. The book is easy to read, so young children can get information and graphics at the same time. This book, however, does not include tips on certain hamster breeds such as dwarf albinos which I wanted information on. I would recommend this book for starting out as a hamster keeper.
