Hamtaro Vol. 1: Hamtaro and the Ham-Hams (DVD, 2002)

My kids love the 3 episodes from this Japanese anime of a bunch of hamsters and their escapades. This is clean, wholesome entertainment for the 4-8 year olds. The hamsters are adorable and those this series is almost a decade old, it still is relevant. I purchased this because it is not readily available for rent or library loan, and my kids love to watch it over and over again, and then play with the little figures and such and use their imaginations for hours. There are 6 DVD's available in English with 3 different stories on each dvd. I own Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, and looking to purchase Vol 6. I havent' been disappointed by any of the first 3 Volumes. They are just getting harder to find to purchase. Overall, cute little story lines.

I have purchased the 1st 3 volumes, for my sister. She ADORES them ALL. Every episode! If you have a child who loves adventure, animals, fun, and well, "a big time" This is the show for him/her. I promise you that this is a very good series.

This is a show about a little hamster, Hamtaro, he, and his owner, Laura, move into a new home and meet new friends, and new experiences everyday. A popularly show in Japan too!

My kids have been reading the Hamtaro books for several years. We have several hamsters named after Hamtaro: Hamtaro, Baby Hamtaro and Super Hamtaro. When we discovered that there was an animated series, we had to get one to try!

We bought it here on eBay, and popped it in right away. The kids (4, 5, & 8) were all immediately sucked in: the theme song was catchy and the hamsters were very fun to watch. Quite often, I heard the kids giggling (is there a better sound out there than a child's laugh?) over silly little jokes or funny things the hamsters did.

There are 3 episodes on this DVD. All are very cute and have a funny overall mood, while still being able to show kids some light morals. We watch this a couple of times a week still, and every time they really enjoy it. I'm glad we got this movie! The kids have something else to ask for for birthdays/Christmas - more Hamtaro movies!

I am the Associate Children's Director at my church. It is harder than ever to find a show that is both clean and instructive. Now that I have two children of my own, I am beyond happy to find a show that covers both of the above. Hamtaro is an excellent show filled with humor and good moral story lines. It's perfect for anyone that wants to watch a show with their kids.

My 4 and 6 year old love this dvd. If you have or plan to get a pet hamster, this is a great dvd for the kids. Each hamster brings has a personality that is just adorable. I plan on getting the rest of the dvd's!
