Publisher's Note

We are completely satisfied with nothing

There is little correlation between the circumstances of people's lives and how happy they are.

This is the repair manual we should have been handed at birth

When you ask people abouttheir most cherished values in life, "happiness" is always at the top of the list. However, unhappiness does not seem to be the exceptional order to be happy, we first have to battle ourselves.

Happiness is an obligation--to yourself and to others

Not only do we have a right to be happy, we have an obligation to be happy. Our happiness has an effect on the lives of everyone around us--it provides them with a positive environment in which to thrive and to be happy themselves.

Containing many life-changing insights, this humorous, accessible, and penetrating volume explains the concept that by reducing our expectations, long-lasting happiness becomes easily attainable. Reprint. 75,000 first printing.

Presents insights and techniques to help readers understand, attain, and maintain happiness despite human nature's tendency to be insatiable

Industry Reviews
"OK, so Mr. Prager may in certain places oversimplify matters, but elsewhere he has an astonishing ability to state simple truths we hadn't heard articulated before, at least not so clearly, in a way that makes their truthfulness immediately and powerfully obvious. Readers of this book will find themselves writing in the margin: 'right,' 'exactly,' 'how true.'"

I love this book. This copy is a replacement because I gave the last one away, and have actually passed this one on and need another. This is a book that can be read easily in a matter of hours but the insights will last a lifetime. Cleverly and simply written Prager begins with the moral obligation to be happy then proceeds to outline why we're not happy and then how to become so. Wonderful little book. GET IT!! READ IT!! THEN PASS IT ON!!

I purchased the book for my husband as a Christmas gift. I lost the first book while on vacation. I book is excellent and makes you stop and think how grateful for should be for the little things.

I ordered and rec'd it soon after.

We will enjoy the book again. :)
