This book is great. After only one week, my wife is playing several songs. I got her a Hohner Special 20 & this book and have enjoyed how fast she has learned, & how excited she is to read & learn. Our 16 year old picked up the book & played a song on the very first night. Great book. You won't regret buying & using this book!!!!

If you play harmonica - get this book! I have been playing and gigging for more than a decade, thought I knew a thing or two about this little tin sandwich we call the harmonica, but come to find out from reading Winslow's very comprehensive book.... I am the "dummy" to whom he speaks. I wasn't offended - that's the magic of Winslow - makes "you don't know jack" easy to swallow. Every harmonica player from rank beginner to seasoned pro can benefit from this book.

Comprehensive real world information about all things an aspiring harmonica player needs to know. Just for the harp set up section alone, it's worth the price. Winslow is one of the most respected names in the harmonica world - a great player, a great technician and an especially good and succinct communicator. This is the harmonica "Bible" to me. Much more comprehensive than you will expect. Very simple to understand. Best explanations of the complex topics like tuning, positions and styles.

Get it. You need this book if you call yourself a harmonica player. Best $20 you will ever spend.
