ITS A GOOD BEGINING BOOK FOR HAT MAKING. THIS SEEMS TO BE A REPRODUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL ONE AS I HAVE SEEN IT IN OLDER ADDITIONS.INSTRUCTIONS ARE QUITE STRAIGHT FORWARD BUT ONE DOES NEED SEWING SKILLS AND A CREATIVE IMAGINATION FOR CONSTRUCTION. IT DOES HAVE AN INTERESTING HISTORICAL SECTION AND GOOD REPRODUCTION PICTURES OF EACH ERA OF FASHION. HAD I HAD IT IN HAND, I PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT AS I REGUIRE A MUCH LARGER PATTERN SELECTION AND DETAIL OF CONSTRUCTION.

) I love the old dolls and I'm wanting to make outfits suited to that time peroid. This book tells you how to make the hats in detail. Excellent book to have.
