Album NotesPersonnel: Jeff Fultz (vocals, slide guitar); Jesse Leach (vocals); Pete Cortese (guitar); Peter Rutcho (piano, keyboards); Derek Kerswill (drums, percussion); Ken Susi (background vocals).Audio Mixer: Peter Rutcho.Recording information: Audiohammer Studios, Sanford, FL; Damage Studios, Anywhere, MA; Longview Studios, North Brookfield, MA; System Recording Studio, Grafton, MA.A side project for members of Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall, Seemless look to the roots of metal and hard rock for their titanic sound. The band's sophomore release, WHAT HAVE WE BECOME, resembles its predecessor with its rumbling, crashing rhythm section, the alternation of melodic singing with all-out screaming, and a catalogue of monstrous riffs that coerce the listener into playing along on air guitar. Seemless's sludgy, ominous sound nods to classic Black Sabbath at times, but in conception and execution WHAT HAVE WE BECOME is decidedly contemporary.
Editorial ReviewsSeamless update a classic-rock sound with modern fixes, like Leach's three-tiered vocals and a booming rhythm section.CMJ eBay Product ID: EPID55168949
