) I bought this DVD set because I am a fan of the Original series. Jack Lord gives a great performance as Steve McGarrett. But it is a classic television show with more to offer than just the tagline BOOK EM DANNO! As a T.V. show filmed entirely in Hawaii this series represents a time long gone, when Hawaii was a exotic local. I love the ensemble cast of James MacArthur as Danny Williams, Kam Fong as Chin Ho Kelly, and Zulu in his second to last season as Kono. There are guest appearances by Martin Sheen and jazz great Nancy Wilson, and The CBS DVD set includes before each episode a Teaser or the original trailer of the upcoming episode which is a welcome bonus narrated by Jack Lord.

Blast to the past

) I remember watching all these Hawaii Five-0 episodes with my parents when I was young. During the 70's we did not have all the channel options nor satellites..watching TV with our parents because we only could afford one TV was a common thing. Purchasing these television series is a wonderful thing. I have made my kids sit down and watch them with me just for the heck of it. They get a great chuckle and I get to have happy flashbacks to my youth. I have thus far purchased all of these Hawaii 5-0 series for my parents as well and they absolutely love them. Great gift idea for anyone who enjoyed these classics!!!

) i watch hawaii 5-0 sent it was air . it was one of my favorite show since the rockford files. i visit 5 of the islands in hawaii.in 2007 and 2009 its really a beautiful place to visit just like what on the dvds..i like steve mcgarret . they way he clean up crime in hawaii.

This is a great series from the 60's/70's and is one of the all time great cop shows. Set in beautiful Hawaii it's got a great cast and is a good collector set.
