Heat Wave, by Richard Castle
Created: 06/05/10
Purchased for my Wife, I may read it on vacation. Per Her description: The book is not very long, (198 pages) it is an easy read to the point of being a Fluff piece. Better than Sue Grafton, but not Robert Ludlum. It has it's highs but they will be more meaningful to those who watch the TV series then to those who do not.
Nathan Fillion, who plays and writes as Richard Castle, is a good solid actor who was mister Uber-action in FireFly. I really liked that Sci-Fi series and was happy to see Nathan surface again in a good, and lightly humorous, Role.
She hopes, if he does more Nikki Heat novels, he expands the plots and generally make them more of a challenge.
She says she, "might" read another if it were "Meatier".

I bought this book as a fan of the show CASTLE. I wanted to make sure I had a piece of its history! I throughly enjoyed the read and was quite surprised when I reached the culprit in the murder. It was a very well crafted mystery that was loads of fun to read.
I can't wait for NAKED HEAT to come out and for the show to return to ABC! I will also be in line for the DVD of the second season to be released! GREAT WRITING!

Heat Wave-Good Overall

This book was good. It was just like an episode from the show Castle. You can really tell who the characters are supposed to be if you watch the show. It is not amazing writing or anything, but from the show, Richard Castle isn't a classic writing anyway! Very good overall. I really like how they have kept the ghost writer a mystery. :) Very fun for the story! :) Be sure to catch the show Castle on ABC if you haven't read it yet, and it will really make the book better!

Heat Wave By "Richard Castle"

If you are a fan of the show Castle then you will like this book. It is very much like reading an episode of the show, but the names have been changed - as you know Det. Beckett is Nikki Heat and Richard Castle is not a novelist but a newpaper reporter. It was a fun read.

Considering this is a whimsical book I expected it to be dull. For no one to claim authorship is unusual because it is not that bad of mystery novel. I have read worse. It is campy and corny just like the tv show and I loved it, especially since references to specfic parts are mentioned in the show. I bought it for my wife but I really enjoyed it to. I wouldn't mind if they published his (supposed) other novels and any new ones.
