Heretic II is a fantasy third-person shooter computer game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision in 1998 continuing the story of Corvus, the main character from its predecessor, Heretic.
Using a modified Quake II engine, the game features a mix of a third-person camera with a first-person shooter's action, making for a new gaming experience at the time. While progressive, this was a controversial design decision among fans of the original title[citation needed], a well-known first-person shooter built on the Doom engine.
The score was composed by Kevin Schilder. The art design and some of the artwork itself were created by Gerald Brom.
Heretic II was later ported to Linux by Loki Software and to the Amiga by Hyperion Entertainment.

Is nothing like the first heretic so dont be disapointed it is vastly improved 3d engine graphics. so snatch a copy up I recommend this game for anybody who liked a fantasy shooter.

Great game! Uses the Quake 2 engine, EXTREMELY fun Deathmatch mode! It even still runs on Windows 7. This game is truly unique among oldschool games, id highly recommend is for LAN parties. Another awesome 3rd person game is Rune.

) I am rating this average because I can not use the program, it is mac version and I need pc version. When I bid on this item it did not say anything about what version it was pc or mac version
