In my opinion this one of the most underrated games ever made for the PS2. I have owned it for about 8 years and I still play it and love as much as I did back then. The only reason I bought a new copy was because my old one doesn't work in my US PS2.
The key to this game is the combination of chess-like strategy and the fantasy genre. There's a lot more to it than first meets the eye. It's probably a tough game to get into in the very early stages but once one gets the hang of it, it is super-addictive. I think it is just the fact that people didn't give it enough of a chance when they first tried it that stopped it from being hugely popular.
It definitely appeals more to people who like the fantasy genre (Lord of the Rings and such), but I think it appeals to others too, if they invest a little time figuring out how the game play works.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

i bought this game for the mere purpose of giving my g/f something easy to play, that is an RPG...trying to get her coverted on those types of games...knowing only if she tried it..she would love it...plus it would get her off my back for a bit longer and allow me the free time with my gaming...atm all she does is complain...but, o haved a feeling it will all soon change...i hope. i use to love this game...yea, its out of date...but that doesnt matter to me...im all about the positives..

addictive tactical game

This is a fun but older ps2 game your not going to find great graphics here but its a sort of addictive strategy game the gaol it to find a hidden staff but to get visual clues you need to beat several criminals in forts and you need to do them in a specific order. The 1st one is easy but to beat the second requires a great force probably funded by a few of those uncontrolled forts you see around. Needless to say its harder then it looks and if you enjoy it as much as I did youll spend quite a few hours looking for the best way to beat it.

Might and Magic

I like the fact that you can, choose characters in this game (unlike Warriors of might and magic).
But this buyer I bought it from didn't ship it. It's been five days now and they said they have not even shipped it!
I decided to buy it in hope that it would be like "Might and Magic VI" (mandate of heaven). Plus I just beat Warriors of Might and Magic, so I needed something to play.
