The game that won my childhood heart
Created: 04/11/09
I bought "Hey you, Pikachu!" when it first came out years and years ago.
It provided me with endless hours of amusement, being able to tell Pikachu what to do with the microphone (which usually led to testing just how well the voice controls actually could understand what I was saying), or watching him wander around and create his own adventure, which was never the same twice.
You get to meet and play with many of the well-loved Pokemon characters, such as Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Butterfree.
Most of the "missions" that you get during the game are quite simple, and are made more amusing by the fact that your character follows Pikachu around in a cardboard box with a slit in it at eye level, expecting Pikachu to not notice (and of course he doesn't, and gets incredibly confused and looks around when you talk to him from the box).
You have the ability to teach Pikachu to use certain attacks, which you use to do random tasks, such as using thunderbolt to get an apple down from a tree, or to to zap the heck out of another pokemon just because you feel like being a jerk.
There were glitches in the game, which were, at my age, incredibly amusing (such as Pikachu eating an Oddish after plucking it out of the ground).
Yes, the graphics are nothing amazing now, but back then they were pretty neat.
I bought the game again since at some point growing up I had lost it. I recently found my old N64, and the little microphone that comes with "Hey You, Pikachu!", which led to a massive amount of nostalgia.
Anyone who is a fan of Pokemon will get a few giggles and a good several hours of fun out of this game, while fans of Pikachu will be absolutely addicted from the start.

Pikachu Review

Great game for kids, My 7 year old niece loves it.
If they like pokemon and you do not have a newer system this is a good choice, just make sure you get a copy with a microphone.

Hey You Pikachu

Hey you, Pokmon fanatic! Have you ever wanted to control your very own Pokmon? Now you can with HEY YOU, PIKACHU! for the Nintendo 64. It's as simple as speaking into the microphone that connects to your controller. If Pikachu understands you, he'll respond. The little yellow pocket monster has a vocabulary of approximately 200 words, and Professor Oak is even on hand to train you in the ways of creature communication. Wake up Pikachu each day by shouting "Good Morning!" and decide what games to play and activities to engage in. You can play Pokmon trivia on the in-game TV, gather food, hunt for treasure, collect seemingly endless goodies, go fishing, baby-sit Caterpie, and much more. You'll also play a variety of mini-games while guiding Pikachu along with friendly commands. As you bond and converse with your cartoon pal you'll investigate the Ochre Woods, head for the campground, check out Bulbasaur's picnic, and even solve clever puzzles. HEY YOU, PIKACHU! is an interactive romp that gives the younger set a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite Pokmon character.

Good Game- If your a kid.

It's actually brings back a lot of memories of being a kid. Be good or bad, I wouldn't really recommend the game unless you wanna feel really childish. It's not a terrible game, for a Pokemon fan you gotta love it. But when it gets down to the commands and stuff it's hard to really follow everything without feeling a little foolish.
