Hifonics BXI 1606D Car Amplifier

I HAVE BEEN DOING CAR AUDIO FOR A LONG TIME AND I ALWAYS USED HIGH DOLLAR EQUIPMENT THINKING THE MORE IT COST THE BETTER IT MUST BE BUT RECENTLY I WAS PROVEN WRONG I WENT OUT ON A LIMB AND BOUGHT A HIFONICS BXI1606D CLASS D AMP NOW DONT GET ME WRONG HIFONICS IS A GREAT COMPANY BUT I WAS UNSURE ABOUT HOW THIS AMP WOULD PREFORM UP AGAINST THE ROCKFORD FOSGATE THAT I WAS CURRENTLY USING NOW FOR THE RECORD I PAID 600.00 FOR MY ROCKFORD FOSGATE X1000.1 AND THE HIFONICS BXI1606D I PAID 199.99 FOR IT ON EBAY I DID NOT THINK IT WOULD COMPARE AT ALL BUT IT DID THIS AMP WORKS JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETER THEN MY OTHER ONE THAT WAS 600.00 SO ALL I CAN SAY IS IF YOUR LOOKING TO BUY A HIFONICS BXI1606D YOU SHOULD BUY IT WORKS GREAT AND HAS GOOD SOUND QUALITY VERY VERY GOOD AMP FOR THE PRICE I AM A LIFTIME CUSTOMER NOW.

Hifonics amps are much cheaper in price when compared to other amps in the same power grouping but are they worth it?

The answer is yes. For their price to power ratio Hifonics is an amp that is cheap on the wallet and offers decent power they are; however, over rated. This means if the amp says 1,000rms you will most likely get 800-900rms out of it and not the full 1,000rms. So if you need 1,000rms choose a Hifonics amp that says to produce 1,200rms or 1,500rms to ensure that you will see that full 1,000rms.

You can get better amps of higher quality but the price increase in these higher quality build of amps are massive (see Alpine, Memphis, RD, DD, RE, Helix...etc).

If you need an amp that won't drain your wallet Hifonics is a great choice.

I PURCHASED THIS AMP 2 MONTHS AGO & I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH ITS PERFORMANCE.

I USE IT TO PUSH TWO ROCKFORD HX2 12'S & IT HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN. THESE SUBS RUN AT 1000 WATTS RMS & THE AMP IS MORE THAN HAPPY TO POUND THE TAR OUT OF THEM.

I HAVE HAD NO CLIPPING, SHUTTING OFF, HEATING UP OR ANYTHING. I RUN THIS AMP VERY HARD UNLESS I HAVE MY KIDS IN THE CAR. THAT IS WHY I LOVE THE REMOTE GAIN CONTROL. I CAN VIRTUALLY TURN THE SUBS TO A VERY MINIMAL AMOUNT WITHOUT HAVING TO FOOL WITH THE GAIN CONTROLS ON THE AMP ITSELF OR MESS WITH MY C/D PLAYER.

I WOULD & HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS AMP TO FRIENDS. I AM BUYING A SECOND ONE AS I WRITE THIS SO THAT I CAN RUN 1 AMP TO EACH SUB.

I HAVE ALSO PURCHASED A SET OF HIFONICS ZEUS 6.5' SEPERATES & I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEM AS WELL.

ON A SCALE OF 1 - 10 .... I GIVE THE HIFONICS BRUTUS A 9.9 ...

I like the amp because I already had a hifonics brutus 1500 mono bloc amp and it pounded the subs so I said what the heck lets see what an extra hundred watts will do it is amazing the only set back is that I can not turn my subs all the way up the first night I did I fryed two memphis audio 12" But outher than that it is really good amp.

This Hifonics BXI 1606D Car Amp Is The Most Powerful Amp On The Market.
It Kicks My Subs So Hit I Love It. Im Thinking About Buying Another One
To Keep In My Attic That's How Much I Love This Amp. The Reason I Bought
This Amp Because I Did Some Research On It And It Was Something To Get
That I Know Would Of Rock My Subs To The Full Capacity.
