Hillbillies in a Haunted House (DVD, 2000)

I am giving this movie an Excellent rating because it more than lived up to my expectations as one of the worst Horror movies ever made.
I purchased this movie to add to my husbands growing collection of the "Worst Horror Movies Ever Made". He was thrilled to get this one.(no one understands it but, we all smile and humor his obsession) At the time I purchased it this movie was rated Number 8 on the IMDB list of worst horror movies. I deserves the rating.
The movie is a really bad horror movie but, has great humorous moments in it to keep you entertained throughout. The story is simple. 2 C&W singers along with their manager are travelling to a Jamboree in Nashville when they decide to stop and rest for the night in an ...abandoned mansion. Naturally the mansion is not really abandoned but the secret headquarters for a band of "foreign " spies led by Madame Wong. There are a lot of songs by the variety of singers in this movie.
The movie has an interesting cast from both the horror film and the C&W music industry. John Carradine, Lon Chaney and Basil Rathbone are joined by Joi Lansing, Ferlin Huskey, Merle Haggard, Sonny James and more.
Overall I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a Horror movie gone bad. At least this one is highly entertaining and keeps you laughing and tapping your feet to the music.
