In 2008, an astonishing lineup of million-selling musicians gathered to show their love on the PBS special HIT MAN. The gala features Foster holding court on piano and as emcee, opening with his mellow `80s hit, introducing friends like Kenny G and Celine Dion. Rising Filipina singer-star Charice hits a high note on her stirring rendition of songs Foster produced for Whitney Houston. Foster's 1980s association with Chicago is represented in medley form, with Peter Cetera dropping by to perform a trifecta of `80s hits. Overall, it's a fitting feting for an essential pop figure.

) This program was way beyond AWESOME! I saw parts of this program a couple of times on PBS and had to have the DVD so I could see it over and over again. There were so many awesome super stars on it and singing great songs. One of the best musical programs I've ever seen!! The CD has some great duets on it from the live program that you'd never find anywhere else, i.e. Josh Grobin and Brian McKnight, Michael Bublay and Blake Shelton singing "Home", and several others. One new and soon to be super star, Charise. She was unbelievable for a 16-year-old and was given a standing ovation!!! Excellent and Phenominal are the only words that comes close to describing this program.

Great DVD the CD is OK

) Like most CD's and DVD's you never like the whole thing or at least that's what I find. The CD was good and the DVD was better from my stand point. I will say if I could have purchased the single songs and video's I liked I would have. I wanted The Love Theme from St Elmos Fire and video of Renee Olstead's Through the Fire.

David Foster is just an amazing professional piano player, music writer, composer, director, etc. I was surprised by the number of hit songs most of us love that he wrote, colaborated on and the many well known singers (friends) that he help to make famous. He has guided many well know singers and some really sharp new ones. You will be amazed if not shocked by an up and coming very young girl singing better than most adult signers.
This special event celebrating his accomplishments in Las Vegas is perfection in its presentation and music enjoyment.
My teenage son, wife, and I saw a preview on HDTV and just had to have DVD to enjoy.
Just pure enjoyment for all ages and music likes.

) I never knew David Foster was the composer of so many hits songs! This DVD has hit after hit and is fun to watch because it is music I grew up with. This is not one of those one hit wonder cd's where you have to watch the whole thing to find soemthing you like. You want to sing along with everyone of the songs.
