Hoover F7411-900 SteamVac Upright Cleaner

I reviewed and researched alot of carpet cleaners and ended up choosing the Hoover SteamVac. I was very happy with the results. My carpet looks great and just last week I used it on my living room furniture. It looks new again.

I owned Bissel once. It was a canister style and it lasted for the duration of cleaning about one room. After that I bought a different machine and it was a Hoover and it lasted for quite a few years. Then it finally went, but I really did get a lot of use out of it. After that I bought a Dirt Devil Carpet cleaner. That one beat Bissel too. However, this was another great purchase from Hoover. It seems I'm always satisfied with Hoover and they seldom disappoint me. I did give thought to a Rug Doctor and I'm sure it's a fine machine, but you can only clean with it in one direction. This Hoover, and most other consumer models, allow you to use it much like a vacuum and that's more convenient for me. Just two things and this is true for just about any cleaner; always vacuum your carpet before using any kind of rug type shampoo cleaner because it helps remove a lot of surface dirt and dust that you don't want clogging your machine. Next, it is usually a good idea to remove all liquids from your machine after each use. That way you know water is less likely to be lining the machine with mineral deposits such as calcium and that solutions won't stagnate and plug ports. If you do that and follow the directions, you should get a lot of life from your new Hoover Cleaner. I hope you end up liking yours as much as I do mine.

I have owned many steam cleaners, this one is absolutely the best so far. Very powerful, leaves carpets much drier than previous makes I have used.

I bought this to replace a Bissell Steam Cleaner. Extracts the water a lot better. It's really a nice cleaner. Works perfect.

Excellent machine, easy to use and does a great job. The unit was exactly as listed and shipment was prompt. Easy to follow instructions in both assembly; use and maintenance after use.
