Hoover S3765-040 WindTunnel Canister Cleaner

This Hoover Canister Bagless Vacuum Cleaner is just what Ive been looking for! I needed a small, long cord canister vacuum to get around my small house. It gets in tight corners and is easy to maneuver. The power is fabulous and I love the bagless canister. It is also quieter than others Ive had. Of course, I couldn't resist the affordability compared to others. My concern is how well the filter lasts and the availability of parts. This vacuum is not available in most stores, so I hope it the quality is longstanding. Thank you.

We just love the Hoover S3765-040 WindTunnel Vacuume. After seeing its pluses in Consumer Reports, we decided to forsake years of an upright to try this canister. We absolutely love it! The style is sleek and modern, it's suction power is very powerful. My wife loves how it's much easier to get under furniture than an upright. The hepa filter is excellent..no hint of dust smell in the air when we vacuum. It is new for us and we are getting used to having to drag a canister behind us, but the pluses of this vacuum cleaner far outways any inconvenience. We honestly thought it was time to replace our carpet until we vacuumed with the WindTunnel. It left our carpet so clean and "fluffed up" that we were very impressed. The dirt container is easy to remove and dump. The power head accessories is wonderful for the steps and gets them looking brand new! The 3 choice suction control is handy when vacuuming over an area rug (if you have it on max it will suck the rug off from the ground!) so we put it on low suction to vacuum area rugs. The head is self adjustable and works great on bare floors (instead of sweeping). An added plus is it's so simple to disconnect the hose to vacuum a corner or along side a wall. This is a wonderful unit for the price. We feel like we bought a thousand dollar vacuum cleaner for a couple hundred bucks. Hoover did it right with this one. We highly recommend it to everyone. You will not be sorry!

Powerful with good suction, very efficient. Best uses: hardwood floors, hard reaching area, carpets & stairs, powerful tools, Hepa filter & bagless, light weight. DISLIKE: HARD TO HANDLE/ PULL, SMALL DIRT CUP TO EMPTY FREQUENTLY, WASH CLEAN HEPA FILTER AS ADVISED. Good value for price. If you do not mind cautiously using the vacuum's parts:wand & connectors, flexible hose have electric wires for connection to power nozzle. Frequently clean the dirt cup and Hepa filter as it is so efficient to fill up the small cup easily. I would recommend it to cautiously user for entry price.

So we got one of these as the reviews were decent and the bagless feature seemed like a good idea. Well, it is bagless, which means that we do not have to spend money on bags. Oh, wait, it has a filter (disposable) which costs $40 - yes, that's right, about a fifth of the price of the vacuum and which has to be replaced roughly every 2 months. The vacuum will not work without it and it will not suck unless the filter is clean as all the air goes through it. To top this off, this bagless twin chamber windtunnel wonder does not pick up anything other then dust. Thread, cat hair, pennies, lego, small pieces of paper, and anything else that can be found on a carpet in a normal household with pets and kids has to be picked up manually. With the operating cost mounting and the device not living up to expectations we are now in a market for a replacement - less then a year into ownership. We feel ripped off and will not ever consider a Hoover product again.

I read quite a few reviews and decided to buy this Hoover because it was priced right and had all types of features that I was looking for.

After having had it for about a month, here is what I like/dislike:

LIKE:

- The fact that it is a canister, can get in more tight spaces than our old stand up.

- The quick disconnect at different spots.

- The telescopic action

- The fact that it is bagless

DISLIKE

- The fact that the turbo attachment works badly

- The fact that the turbo attachment is NOT powered with electricity, just wind.

- The fact that the dirt cup is somewhat small.

All in all, it was quite a good purchase and I would highly recommend it.
