Hoover U5507900 Elite Rewind Upright Cleaner

We had a kirby for a number of years. It was an impulse buy after the presenter vacuumed my carpet and the stuff it picked up...well that's another story :0

I just recently bought the elite rewind because I was sick and tired of winding the cord and wrestling with it because it was so kinked and twisted. This vacuum picked up more than my kirby had ever picked up! I vacuum everyday now and everyday the canister is full again! My home feels cleaner and when I sit on the couch, dust doesn't fly all over the house.

If you are thinking about buying this vacuum, the rewind cord is just an added bonus!

I have always used a Kirby, my mother swears by them. Well about 2 weeks ago I was using this wonderful vacuum and low and behold if it didn't catch on fire...So began my search for a new vacuum.....I looked at all reviews and read consumers digest and all had really good things to say about the Hoover rewind, so after alot of thought I bought it WOAH am I glad I did....I don't believe my dog or my cat have any fur left on them after what I have dumped out of this vacuum..It's not bulky like many other uprights, my 7 and 11 year olds use this without a problem. You do have to be careful around cords because it will suck them up, but in a vacuum I think that is a plus. This vacuum has many features the rewind cord, the ability to dump the container fromt he bottom so your hand never touch it, and the attachable little power nozzle is just as powerful.! If you are in the market for a vacuum take a real good hard look at this one...

I bought this vacuum cleaner because I needed a new one. I had never owned a bagless vacuum cleaner and was anxious to have one since I've always hated removing those dirty bags from the old type of vacuum cleaner. After only using it 10 times or less, it simply died. It started making a very odd noise one day as I was using it and shortly thereafter that was the end of it! I owned it for six months. I don't know that I'll buy any more vacuum cleaners on eBay. This purchase was just a waste of money.

I am not easily impressed by a vacuum. When I was a kid, my mother used a Hoover for over 30 years before it wore out. The new vacuums seem to fill up their bags in 15 minutes and never had the suction to clean properly. This vacuum is easy to move. The cords does retract but be carefully with it. The end will fly around and can hit you. It has good suction. It pulls up dust and dog hair. The transparent cylinder allows to see when it is full. The cup can be emptied from the bottom or the top. The hose is easy to remove if you have to get a object plugging it. This has happened a couple times. Red is my favorite color but some people will find it bright. It is reasonably priced. I feel it works as well as units that costs 3 times as much.

It is a light weight vaccum cleaner. The cord is way to short. I cant clean my living room with out changing outlets. I have had it for about 3 weeks now and it seems to work pretty good but looks and feels very cheap. It will do for now but I would not buy this again.
