This box set presents a quartet of family-friendly features on the subject of horses, produced between 1961 and 2009. First on the list is 2006's direct-to-video saga WIND DANCER, starring Mel Harris and Matt McCoy in the story of a wheelchair-bound young girl who struggles to overcome her disability courtesy of her bond with a local horse. WILDFIRE - THE ARABIAN HEART (2009) co-stars Alex Bartlett and Gary David Keast as it tells of Lindsey, a teenager who experiences romance and the thrill of horse racing during a visit to her traumatized uncle in the Midwest. 1961's MISTY concerns a young brother and sister inhabiting an island off the coast of Virginia, who set their hearts and minds on capturing an elusive mare called Phantom, and end up raising her sweet-natured young colt. Finally, 1977's MARY WHITE stars Ed Flanders (ST. ELSEWHERE) and Tim Matheson (ANIMAL HOUSE) in the saga of a middle-aged man who spends his days reflecting on the final year that he spent with his equestrian daughter, prior to her untimely death.
