Best Teen/Party film movie of all time?

Created: 18/04/08
Where do we begin here?..Kid n Play are still hip all these years later in this laugh-heavy hip hop extravaganza. Kid is the cool nerd running from bullies while Play in the loud green suit impresses the gals. The late Robin Harris is a nonstop diss-meister, as Pop. Martin Lawrence is still a skinny nobody as 'dragon-breathed bilal', the DJ. There's stupid cops, social commentary, the directors themselves; in a hilarious sequence towards the end...and to top it off the best dance number in modern motion picture history!
How they(Hudlin brothers), manage to pay homage to the 80's and size up the 90's in the same film is amazing. Included is a rap battle better than any in "8 Mile", and Tisha Campbell in panties. When it's all said and done, "House Party" ranks right next to "Animal HOuse","Revenge of the Nerds","Porky's";,"Old School" in any number of comedy classic lists.

Kid and Play, a Pleasant Blast From The Past.

Created: 13/05/09
Although I have never been a fan of profane language especially when it describes female anatomy, I must admit to being a fan of the Kid and Play movies. They are done with no intent on disrespecting females or authority. They also addressed such social issues as safe sex, higher education, male and female inter-relationships and the role of learning responsibilities. The movies addresses adult issues that never seem to change no matter what generation you are from, in a language of that time in which slang and unfortunately profanity were inter-woven. The humor is not insulting or moronic like some of the so-called humor of today. Tisha Campbell, Robin Harris, Johnny Whitherspoon, Kid and Play, etc... all give stellar performances. Full Force does a good job as the movies villains although the excessive cursing at times was a little irritating. The music and dance moves were well done. In all a good movie to enjoy.

Kid and Play at their best

Created: 08/06/07
I thought this movie was excellent and I liked Kid N' Play when they came out. Out side of them there was Tisha Campbell, Martin Lawrence and Robin Harris; it just doesnt get any better. I basically bought it because it was funny. There is a mixture of music, dancing, acting, comedy and romance; thats a total package in my book!

I love this movie although it has bad acting. The movie stars to 80's rappers who decide to have a house party. The are many known actors and actresses, Martin Lawrence is the biggest.

Interesting, if dated, movie that touches on a number of social issues. Fun dance segment.
DVD quality is good.
