I purchased this calculator to give to one of my four children. It is very important to me that my children know the numbers side of business and real estate. I'm trying my best to teach them.
When I see these HP10BII calculators up for auction new in unopened packages, I bid on them. When I can have them for the "right price," I'll buy.
The two Hewlett Packard calculators I use are the HP12C and the HP17BII+ with the HP12C being my favorite. If I were going to purchase a new HP12C I would be sure to get the Platinum Edition for the increased speed.
If you're thinking about it, it's hard to imagine the power you hold in one hand when up pick one of these little machines. I never leave home without packing one of my calculators with me.

I bought the HP-10BII calculator for a finance class in my MBA program. This was the calculator being used by the professor. The calculator is very easy to use and comes with a manual that gives some very good examples of using the different financial functions. Calculating TMV and EARs were a cinch. This is definitely a good product to buy for a finance class.
Despite it's title, this is a financial calculator and I would not describe it as a scientific calculator. If trying to use this calculator as a true scientic calculator, then I would recommend going for other models. The scientific mode is not that great. Doing calculations containing multiple factors is much easier on other scientifc calculators (e.g TI-30XA).

Great Calculator!

I purchased two HP-10BII calculators for a real estate investing class my husband and I took. They arrived quickly and worked perfectly for our class. I already have an HP-12C calculator but these are easier to use (more intuitive), have all of the functions that we need and the price was the best I was able to find anywhere!! We'll get alot of use out of these calculators with our new real estate investing business!

) I had to buy this calculator for a finance class. Its built in functions make basic financial calculations simple. Keystroke sequences for functions are intuitive and easy to learn. Overall, a very good calculator. I own and use both TI and HP calculators and I prefer the HPs. They just have a higher quality feel to them.

And I got the older version which there is no difference in functions, Just the image.
Highly recommended with the students who are starting to get into the business
