HP PhotoSmart R967 10.0 MP Digital Camera - Silver

The R967 camera is very easy to use, directions were easy to follow and the promps built into the camera are very easy to use. The battery seems to have a nice long life between charges. Other cameras I have used didnot last as long between charges. The compact size is excelent, it fits easily in a shirt pocket but ia still feels good to handle and has many good features as more expensive cameras have. The only down side is onboard memory but that is easily overcome by an external memory card and the card is mch easier to transfer pictures to PC with and the software provided is nice to.

A lot of technology in a compact, sturdy, easy to handle digital camera !
I purchased the HP R967 on eBay, for considerably less than the HP MSRP.
This camera is almost identical to the R927 in size, feel and operation.
The main differences being 10 MP, improved battery life, a little more digital zoom, and an anti-shake mode - which unfortunately, must be manually pre-selected from the camera shooting mode to be activated.
The large, bright 3" lcd screen with a wide viewing angle makes it easy to frame your shots before they are captured. The camera is very easy to use right out of the box, and all the controls are well placed. With auto red eye removal, HP's Design Gallery, adaptive lighting, and HP's software package your pictures are completely under your control !
Get a spare battery (or two), to ensure the camera does not shut down unexpectedly, and use a minimum 1.0G SD memory card, which will store ample shots at maximum resolution. A good sturdy case will protect your digital camera in transit, and provide storage space for those extra batteries.
This camera should satisfy most of your creative digital image making requirements !

This is a great little camera. I already have one, buy some how, in my infinite ability to lose things, I managed to "misplace" the AC adapter and power cord. Unfortunately, this camera is OOP and I was not able to find any actual HP replacement parts. I have come across several eBay auctions for non OEM compatible adapters, but really want to stick with the "real" thing.

If you can find one for a good price, I'd recommend getting it. It may not be the latest and greatest, but it works well for my needs and I am very content with it.

As a bonus, if you have the R927 model, the battery and charger is compatible with the R967 model.

This my 4th HP camera, I love it! I trust HP cameras and am happy with the quality. I only had so many because I either broke, lost previous, but then upgraded to a better model and I am impressed every time.

First, the camera is a nice size and very sleek looking. The LCD is very large, which makes taking pictures a lot easier. It takes pictures pretty fast without having to re-charging for the flash. Like all other HP digital cameras, you can switch picture modes. You can even go in and edit the picture after you've taken it (cropping or add effects). The video comes out pretty well. I really like the picture quality. I took this camera on a week vacation with my 2GB card with the highest setting (10MP best quality) and had about 800 pictures and about 10 videos. They all came out great!!

i recommend this to anyone, it's isn't hard to use or learn.

I like all the tricks it can do. Like someone else already said, "The LCD may look a little unclear BUT the pictures come out great!" Three kinds of movie VGA, 6, 8, or 10 MP. With a 2 GB SD card I have 15,373 pictures LEFT after taking 82 pictures COMBINED with 15 minutes of movies taken at Marina Del Rey yesterday. SUCH a deal. People warned me about the battery door. I just sprayed it with liquid silicon (like for fuzzy electric window tracks) and moved it back and forth a bunch of times to "soften it up a bit." Now it moves as it should! There is SO MUCH good teaching and good pictures available here. Don't worry about getting JUST the camera as there ARE USB cables, HP batteries and YES even spare battery doors for sale on E-BAY. For the money this thing is really feature packed and the HP Image advice will make you a photo-expert! Good bidding "Ebay Soldiers!" Norm R. Krell
