HP PSC 1410 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

I owned this model for over a year. an electrical short knocked it out, so I found a replacement on ebay. It prints a sharp image, simple to use, takes up a relatively small desk space. New, I paid $50 at Wal-mart, and for the money, it's a great printer. No memory slots, no fax, but I didn't need that. It also doesn't warn you when ink is low, which is a shame. You might be 5 pages printed into a document, then it starts running out, and keeps printing. so now the rest of the pages are streaked or off color. at any rate, if budget is a high concern for you, you can get a good looking final image, have a color scanner/copier/printer, and be happy with your purchase.

After researching many different printers by many different manufacturers, I decided to purchase this HP printer for my office. My space was limited, so I was looking for a compact, multi-function machine. As I am a Realtor, the quality and speed of the printing and scanning were also of paramount importance.

I have been extremely impressed by this machine. It's fast, the quality of the print is excellent, pictures look like photographs (very important to me) scanning happens almost instantaneously. Operation is easy. And the price was right! What more could one ask for??

I bought this printer a while back because I needed a new all-in-one printer. I love it. Prints faster than all my other printers (have 2 more HP's, one of them an all-in-one HP PSC 500, which I also really like, although it's a lot slower than this one). The printer is not as heavy as the older models. It copies photos almost as well as it scans them. Once set up it's very easy to use. Resolution is fine. The software leaves much to be desired, however and, it's pretty tricky to set up with XP, but works with Win98. It only prints from 1-9 pages at a time (a bit annoying) but despite its minor flaws I like this printer so well that I am looking for another.

Everything in one small box.Don't expect perfect picture prints from this unit.Quality of color prints is OK.However it's good choice if you need print text or sometimes color pictures from the web.I have this printer for a long time. No problems at all. AND THE GOOD THING ABOUT ALL HP PRINTERS IS : YOU GETTING FULL INK CARTRIDGES OUT OF THE BOX - NOT A STARTER ONES.

I just bought this all in one HP printer/scanner PSC 1401 (1400 series). It prints great but I can not finish the printer set up because the software can not find the "device", which is the scanner part of the all-in-one. I have gone round and round with HP, and they say a patch is forth coming. Well actually it depends who you talk to at HP. After doing a google search I have found I am not the only one with this problem. So if you are a Macintosh user running Tiger 10.4.3, this is NOT the unit for you, if you want to ever scan anything. For a PC, I am sure it works just fine.
