This game is the best mario game on a portable system. The music is awesome. The levels are fun and mario gets to do some new tricks using a submarine, visiting the egyptian pyramids, and dodging fireballs underground. A MUST HAVE if you love platform action games.

    GREAT GAME!

    Created: 02/09/06
Super Mario Land was an excellent game and still is in my opinion. I think it was great for when you were bored and everyone who love Nintendo and Nintendo consoles/games would have loved. The graphics are amazing considering how old and forgotton it is. The backgrounds were a bit dull and since it was black and white they were boring but when played on GBC or GBA the colour made it fantastic and cheerful. The sounds are dull and pointless but that only knocks it down one notch. Since you can get this for about 5p it is a great bargain. The only problem is if your looking for it to buy it'll be a tough job. There's a good chance you'll never find one. Its not very difficult to learn how to play seeing as the controls are simple. The difficulty is great when you get well into the game but the only problem is if you lose all your lives (three) then you have to start from the first level. The only way to get more lives is to get a mushroom to make you big so if you get hit you only go smaller.

    Poor Graphics, Nice Enough Game

    Created: 02/01/07
My husband and I were looking for some other options for our young sons to play. I have to say I was expecting a bit more out of the graphics. They are VERY outdated and almost hard to see what's going on. That was VERY disappointing. Other than that, a fun game that would be fine for a pretty wide variety of ages.

Mario's back for his best adventure yet!

    Created: 04/08/08
In Super Mario Land Mario tries to save the princess who has been kidnapped once again. This time she has been abducted by an alien named Tatanga. Which is a change from the usual suspect Bowser. Super Mario Land is made up out of four different worlds, each with it's own theme. The first world is relatively easy and has an Egyptian theme. The second world has an ocean theme. You'll be cruising in a submarine for a large part og this level. The third world has an Eastern Island theme with it's mysterious statues. The game gets a little bit tougher now. The fourt and final world has an Asian, or Chinese theme, with bamboo growing in the background. This last level is pretty difficult with los of jumping aroundennemies. At the end of it Mario gets in an Airplane and brings down the alien's spaceship and rescues the princess. Controlling Mario takes some skill, if you hurry to much Mario dies quickly. You cannot save this game so finishing this game takes some practice and a lot of patience. If you are relly good you can finish the game fast, since there are only 4 worlds. The sounds and graphics are fine, considering this is a gameboy-title.
