Hunter: The Reckoning.

Best multi-player game ever. Four people on one screen, not split screen, you move independently of your fellow players within the same surrounding. You are limited by an invisible 'string' (one player can't leave the screen unless the others are moving along, too, but otherwise up to four of you can wail on zombies with a riot shotgun, machine gun, rocket launcher, blade (etc.) or each character's special gifts all at the same time! I can't stress enough the fun of sitting with up to three of your X-Box friends playing all at once and working together but as separate characters. The makers of this game have a sense of humor, too, so the story is worth watching at least the first time through and the only real annoyance is a level through a graveyard where you babysit a small girl with a teddy bear. This pays off, though, as there are more zombies to kill on this level than the previous ones and getting her through the level provides a great 'boss' right after. There's a good variety of evil beings causing different levels of damage to your player, imaginative background story and special powers for each character, and if you leave the blood turned on, some interesting explosions. Characters even have a taunt stance. X-Box controller provides ability to manuever your character so well that you can almost get out of anything. Unbelievably good game even if only a single player.

Original Left 4 Dead

This is one of my favorite games that I have played. It is the original Left 4 Dead in my opinion. You choose from 4 characters who have their own set of abilities based on their Creed and try to stop a zombie apocalypse. The story is excellent. Great pick up for fans of mass zombie killing!

Hunter the reckoning
Created: 10/12/10
Hunter succeeds in delivering a very fun though short gaming experience, whether you're playing alone or with up to three friends.
There seem to be certain formulas for gameplay that, regardless of how often they're reused, are still incredibly appealing and satisfying. Simply put, Hunter: The Reckoning--which is based on the White Wolf pen-and-paper game of the same name--is a perfect example of the "throw as many monsters at you as possible" brand of gameplay that's proved successful in classic games like Gauntlet, Smash TV, and Diablo, albeit with a few new elements to take advantage of the license. Hunter does have a few relatively minor problems that crop up over the course of the game, but the game succeeds in delivering a very fun though short gaming experience, whether you're playing alone or with up to three friends.

Classic 4-person Gauntlet style Zombie Game
Created: 04/05/10
The Hunter: The Reckoning series games are classics. If you love 4-person beat-em-ups then this is the game for you. You play the game with 4 different heroes of different attributes and special abilities called "edges" and lay waste to zombie-monster problem that has arisen from the local penitentiary. While your primary cannon fodder are zombies, you will come across more gnarly monsters from imps, to gargoyles, to werewolves. Its a classic game worth another play.

Great game, lots of multiplayer fun

Played this game for hours bye myself and with wife and family. Supports up to 4 players simultaneously. This is a non-stop action/horror slasher. Your players gain experience and powers as the game goes on. It has plenty of challenging and interesting boss characters. I would actually give this a 4.5 if I could. Only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 is because there are a couple of levels that are a little annoying redundant.
