The Def Leppard Story DVD
Created: 30/12/09
This movie brought back fond memories of my youth when I started to play guitar and be in a Rock Band. I first saw the movie on the VH1 tv network a few years back. It is the story of the band Def Leppard from the start of the band thourgh the various tragedys the band endured of Drummer Rick Allen losing his arm in a car crash to recovereing and learning how to play drums all over again and then to playing with the band again. The band also survived the death of guitarist Steve Clark which died because of Alcohol problems. The movie shows relationship with famed AC/DC and Shania Twain producer Mutt Lange and Def Leppard's Multi-Platinum selling album-CD Pyromania. The DVD movie is done pretty well and fairly accurate. I give this movie abid Thumbs Up to anyone in their 40's who grew up on 1980's Heavy Metal/Power Rock.

THE STORY OF A BAND THAT ROCKED THE WORLD

This DVD is a must have for the Def Leppard fan. It's a perfect making of the events that started the band and made them into the rock'n'roll giants they still are today. It also shows the stuggles they faced, from Rick Allen losing his arm to a car wreck, to Steve Clark's alcohol addiction. I can't stop watching it. Def Leppard fan for life!!!!

This a movie, not Real Life Footage (as u may know)

I thought this was music videos / documentary. It is not. It is an older, low budget, short movie depicting a very general history of the band up to just before the Hysteria album. It was kind of interesting though. I learned how hard it must be for bands to be this successful when egos grow so fast. It also basically implies they would have not sounded how good they did if it wasnt for their super talented (and laid back cool) producer. This is the movie (story). I now know that what I wanted was the Hysteria (2002)DVD with Rick Allen. My bad

A Must See for Any Fan

As a fan of Def Leppard from way back when, this movie does a great job of recreating the band, Steve Clark battling alcoholism and Rick Allen's lost of his left arm in a car accident. The movie takes you back to the day of the band being unknown and playing at a high school talent show to stardom at arenas and in between. A excellent must see for any Def Leppard fan.

The Def Leppard story (2005, dvd)

I just watched the Def Leppard movie, and found it to be very entertaining. It moved along at a good pace, and really helped give a little insight into what the band went through. I did not think that Joe shouldn't have been made out to be so "bossy" instead of "driven to reach a goal". I also was hoping that they would have shown more of Steve's quirky personality instead of giving you the sence that he was just a miserable person all the time. I was also hoping to see a little type of a memorial service for Steve. Overall, it was a very enjoyable movie(even if you didn't like the band)and I would definitly recommend adding this one to your movie collection!
