) Nice pedal, especially if you after the Stevie Ray Vaughan vibe. Ibanez has been making these pedals for a long time and they are still very popular. Great for overdriving a tube amp. The pedal is a classic and is well made.

After a long time of trial and error and a few overdrive pedals, I finally saved up the money for this little gem, and oh boy! I purchased this pedal with a keeley mod with TB and it is by far the best sounding overdrive I have ever used. It is so smooth with just the right amount of low and high end blend which will drive you into overdrive bliss. You can dial in a good sound within seconds at any setting. Its that good. Oh and did I mention sustain? You can hold a note for days if you wish. I highly recommend this pedal to all who are not sure if you want to buy it or not, trust me, buy it! I was once in your shoes and have no regrets buying this pedal.

Great sounding pedal. Sounds as good as the original screamer I used back in the early days.A little more expensive then I paid for my original used one ($20.00), but worth every penny.

This pedal is one of those pedals that once you try it in your signal path, you'll never want to get rid of it. I use this in front of a mesa boogie dual rectifier and a mesa boogie stiletto trident. Those amps alone have tons of gain, but with this pedal it adds so much character and crispness. I run the gain at around 10 o'clock, tone around 10 o'clock and the volume all the way up. Since getting this pedal I upgraded it with a true bypass switch and better caps and it sounds that even better than before.
I've bought the ts-9 and the ts-9dx and out of the three the 808 sounds the best to my ears. The ts-9dx is comparable though.
I generally play heavy music and this pedal is the secret behind a tone that lots of people ask me how I get. If this pedal was stolen or broken somehow (metal casing makes it almost impossible) i'd buy another in a heart beat.
