Movie synopsis

In this computer-animated sequel to ICE AGE, prehistoric creatures face a new problem: their icy world is melting. Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), seemingly the last woolly mammoth on Earth, and his pals--a saber-toothed tiger named Diego (Denis Leary) and a sloth named Sid (John Leguizamo)--are perfectly content in their ice-covered valley. When con artist Fast Tony (Jay Leno) claims that their home will soon be underwater and the world is about to end, they think he's kidding. But to everyone's surprise, the shady fast talker is right. Manny, Diego, and Sid soon discover that the valley will flood in days. Following the advice of a vulture (Will Arnett) who is hoping for the worst, a bevy of animals begin to make their way to the end of the valley in search of a boat that will save them from the flood.En route, sad sack Manny is startled when he encounters another woolly mammoth, Ellie (Queen Latifah). As happy as Manny is to see another one of his kind, there's a problem: Ellie is convinced that she's a possum like her hyperactive brothers, Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck). And to make matters worse, the melting of the ice has released some ferocious sea creatures that had literally been frozen in time. Will Ellie finally realize that she's a gigantic woolly mammoth and not a pint-sized possum? Is it really the end of the world? Can Manny and the rest of the animals in the valley survive the impending flood? And will Manny be able to leave the past behind now that he knows he's not alone? Saber-tooth squirrel Scrat and his quest for an acorn once again provide additional comic relief throughout the film.

You favorite furry animals are back and on an new adventure! When Fast Tony starts talking about the end of the world no one really believes him, and think it's a scam to sell air reeds(a snorkle-straw to breathe underwater). But when Sid decides he wants some respect, he climbs the biggest slide the Eviscerator at the very top of the ice wall.Manny & Diego stop him just in time before he jumps and finally see for themselves that they are surrounded by water at the top and the dam is about to break and flood them all!! All the creatures start their journey to the valley to try to escape the flood before it is too late.During their trip Manny starts to think he is the last mammoth.. until he runs into Ellie who falls from a tree in front of him.Ellie has two brothers, Crash & Eddie who have convinced her that she is also a "possum" like them.Manny falls for this stubborn-silly Ellie "possum", but always says the wrong things. Can they all make it to safety before the flood reaches them?? You will have to watch to find out!!

This movie is just as good as the first, all the same character voices, and many new characters to fall in love with!!Would recommend to rent or buy!Hope this helps you decide! Thanks for reading this! Please click YES at the bottom. :)

It's Better The Second Time Around,

Created: 27/10/06
This was HILLARIOUS!!! This was far better than the first movie. John Leguizamo was brilliant as usual, the perfect voice for Sid. And it was great having the voice of Queen Latifah as Ray Ramano's love interest. This movie was a comedy-lovers delight. And of course the squirrel, Scrat, was genius from day one. Every scene he's in is like watching a great silent movie. That actually requires a lot of skill on behalf of the storytellers and animators to create scenes without dialogue that are equally as entertaining and engaging as those with dialogue. The latter is one reason why the first "Ice Age" film distinguished itself. So the team at Blue Sky Studios should be congratulated. This is a sharp movie. No sophomore slump. I have the first one on DVD and I can't wait to get this incredible sequel. Everything just seems more developed and elaborated upon this time around. Computer-animated films were still in their infancy when the first film got released. But the technological progress that has been made since then is obvious and it's been put to good use throughout the movie. I really enjoyed "Ice Age 2." So if you were a fan of the first one, then don't forget to get the sequel when it hits stores this November.

ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN BLUE-RAY

Created: 08/02/09
THIS MOVIE LOOKS GREAT IN BLUE RAY. THIS IS THE SECOND ICE AGE MOVIE AND I LIKED IT PRETTY WELL. THIS IS GREAT ENTERTAINMENT. ITS GREAT MOVIE FOR CHILDREN TO WATCH. THERE IS A LITTLE VIOLENCE DUE TO TO 2 HUNTING ALLIGATORS.(AT LEAST I THINK THEY ARE ALLIGATORS)? MAYBE NOT FOR SMALL CHILDREN BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS SCARE THE OLDER ONES. IF YOU HAVEN'T CHECKED THIS MOVIE OUT ALREADY GIVE IT A TRY. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID.
