Christopher Lee Rhyne Review 105
Created: 27/04/09
90 minutes, full-screen & Widescreen version, CC, R. I rate film only 4****.
A hotel meets ten strangers in a ravaging storm wiping out roads. Stranded from no where to go murder by numbers and I mean 1, 2, 3, keys that are literally ruled by death of each stranger staying in the motel rooms will dye by numbered rooms one by one after each other. Each time a motel room numbered key is found on each victim.
CAST----- Limo driver (John Cusack)----- '80's TV star (Rebecca DeMornay)----- Pretend Cop (Ray Liotta) ----- Serial killer (Jake Busey)----- Call girl (Amanda Peet)----- Newweds (Clea DuVall and William Lee Scott) ----- One family (John C. McGinley, Leila Kenzle, Bret Loehr)----- Motel manager (John Hawkes).
One by one each dies and nobody knows who did it. Ten becomes nine, eight, seven under suspense/mystery. Films twists were cleverly interesting. Cusack takes everyone and decides he his in charge but really isn’t after the film starts puzzling conflicts. A prisoner is transported by a cop in the beginning of the film. Wait till you see the ending of the film, you really don’t catch it right away until you think about it. I actually replayed the end to see the last “key”.
90 minutes moves the film in a momentum speed, I rated film 4**** because some role acting was cheesy. As soon as they tried to leave the motel and the cop who isn’t a real cop brings everyone back to the motel you already know the tensely is something of murder.
You have a convicted murderer and a bleak motel one that looks like the Bates motel and roads that get washed away both directions. Yeah all the action is going to take place in one area of the whole film.

One Of My New Favorite Movies!
Created: 26/04/08
I love the mystery and suspense of this movie. There's an interesting topic discussed in the movie which is very thought-provoking. Do you punish the body or the mind for a crime? I wonder if such a disorder has befallen anyone previously as well as a similar event which is involved in the film.
The story is somewhat confusing but does make some sense if you think about it. 10 people are stranded in a motel and suddenly, each one begins to die a horrific death. The strangers start to suspect who may be the killer among them. At least 3 individuals show signs of being the one responsible for the deaths. However, a big surprise awaits the viewer at the closing of the movie.
I love the cast in this movie: John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, Clea DuVall, Jake Busey, John C. McGinley, William Lee Scott, Rebecca DeMornay, John Hawkes, Bret Loehr, Alfred Molina, and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
This movie seems similar to Clue, without the humor, and also seems like it would be a Stephen King film. However, the movie was directed by James Mangold and written by Michael Cooney.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes mysteries, suspense, shockers, and mind-boggling films. It's an extremely great movie, hands down.

Good Suspense/Thriller...

"Identity", is a suspense/thriller with a wide array of stars like Ray Liotta, John Cusak, Amanda Peet, and Rebecca DeMornay. I was a bit sceptical. It seemed like a routine slasher film, with a bunch of strangers getting stranded in a bad storm at a motel. Weird stuff goes down, and people start getting killed. But this movie has a lot more going for it. It's got a neat little twist to it, and it kept my attention the whole time. I would definitely recommend it to all of you.

Extra twist

This is a horror/suspense movie. A unique group of people are forced to stay at a creepy motel during a rain/thunderstorm. One by one they die until one is left. But whom?
A great unexpected twist at the end gives it an extra punch.
John Cusack, Rebecca DeMornay and more.
I give this 4 stars and a definite watch!!

I happen upon this one day at a rental store and almost didn't pick it up but I'm
a diehard Cusack fan so I said what the hay. This unlikely choice turned out to be one of my favorite movies. This has added cool factor for suprise twist ending that was much better then expected. This has Tons of Stars and you will not be bored for a minute. If you like the who done it Mystery Thriller type of movies or your just sick of watching ones that you can figure out in the First 5 minutes then this is for you. I guarantee you won't figure out this plotline.
