The Incredible Hulk: Season Two
Created: 29/05/08
Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno return in the second exciting season of this outstanding series.
David Banner travels from town to town, desperately searching for a cure to the transformations that turn him into a seven foot tall green-skinned raging creature, while stopping to help those in need. Jack Colvin returns as nosy tabloid reporter Jack McGee, always one step behind Banner and the Hulk. Standout episodes include the Emmy award-winning "Married" as well as "A Child in Need", "Ricky", "Haunted"
and "The Antowuk Horror".
Though a little light on extras, the transfers are great, and the episodes look fantastic. Great series, highly recommended!

"Mr. McGhee Don't Make Me Angry!"

"You wouldn't like me when I'm angry" I still love that tagline..This was a great blast from the past..Billy Bixby and Lou Ferrigno were fantastic as David Bruce Banner and The Hulk..I admit I hated the comics and was ready to hate this when it first came on the air back in the 80's, but to my surprise I ended up loving it..Other reviewers talk about cheesy special effects I have news for them all the special effects in the 80's was cheesy..special effects are much more advanced now then they were then..so what's cheesy now had the WOW factor back then..same thing with the special effects in the year 2029..what we say WOW to now will be cheesy 20 years from now!!Now for the series..David Bruce Banner loses his wife in a car accident he tries to find out why he was unable to save her while others in similiar accidents succeeded in saving their loved ones..desperate for answers he does something stupid he overdoses himself on gamma rays...at first it appears nothing happens, which angers Dr. Banner, but later he is enraged when he suffers a blow out during a storm he cracks his knuckles while trying to change the tire..already pissed over the alleged failed experiment he becomes enraged and in comes the not so jolly green giant..he destroys not only his own clothes, but also his car then races away and that's where the adventures begin..I wont spoil the series for those who have yet to watch it, but be aware it has it's hanky moments..you end up feeling bad not only for David, but also for the craeture nicknamed "The Hulk" by an investagative reporter named Jack McGhee..and believe it or not you may end up even liking Mr. McGhee! I give this series 5 stars!!

The Incredible Hulk - The Complete 2nd season

I am a huge fan of the original Incredble Hulk series. This collection brings back many warm memories when I would rush home to sit infront of the big screen (our little floor model color 32 inch television) and watch with wide eyes and held breath. Shopping on Ebay is an exciting and affordable way to bring these wonderful childhood memories back and as an added bonus welcome the next generation. I thank you for making this possible and highly recommend it to others. Can't wait for these colder fall nights when you grab a warm wooly blanket and curl up to watch Mr. Banner and his 'hulking' adventures.

Blah, blah, blah

I never saw this when it first ran, but some of my friends made it a weekly not-to-be-missed ritual. I bought this to try to understand why it had so much appeal to them, and because I like Bill Bixby's characters. I still don't understand the appeal of The Hulk and do understand the appeal of Bill Bixby.
It's not really the low-tech, cheesy non-special effects that bother me-- I can forgive a show of that era those weaknesses. I guess I don't like the rootlessness of the program. I prefer so-called ensemble shows which can draw on the interactions of the characters and their changing relationships.
This show seemed to just hop from one issue to the next -- a mentally retarded adult, child abuse, etc. etc. When the issue drives the storyline, the storyline is compromised, in my opinion. Ensemble shows can do this better, because the issues can be embedded in recurring characters and dealt with a little bit at a time rather than as the flavor-of-the-week. As the-issue-of-the-week, one gets the strong impression of being randomly preached at.
There's another flaw in The Hulk, too-- (sorry, die-hard fans!) As I stated, I really like Bill Bixby characters (the few I've seen, that is). They are so mellow and rational, just the guy you would like as a brother-in-law, father, coworker, neighbor, whatever. . . I'm sure the casting people chose him because of the contrast to The Hulk. This works for Clark Kent/Superman (mild-mannered reporter) because the reporter persona is a disguise, and because the essential character traits are the same. But Dr. What's His Name (in the Hulk) is so completely phlegmatic and rational, that it stretches credibility for the little nuisances in the plot to drive him to anger the way they do. I wish the characterization of the scientist depicted someone a little more ambitious, a little haughtier, slightly more aggressive, so that the morphing to the Hulk would be more believable and also more suspenseful.
Even though I think Bill Bixby was adorable.

Have always liked the action and adventure of the Incredible Hulk! The original hulk played by Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixpy was good when I was young and is still good now!
