This book is awesome. It is helping out a lot for my java class. This is an easy language to learn if you have any OOP experience. I got this book for my crash course java class at RIT and it is a bore to read, but it is a excellent reference book. My professor said the same thing about this book.

I originally bought the 6th edition for school. I am just about to graduate with a CIS degree(may 2011). And, have purchased the latest edition just before graduating because, this book cover more beginner->professional level material more thoroughly than any other resource I have found (except google: remember the internet was built FOR communications BY programmers[EVERYTHING IS ON THE INTERNET]) In short I would recommend this book to any one (from beginner to professional) looking to improve their knowledge of Object Oriented Programming(OOP).
