InuYasha - The Movie 3: Swords Of An Honorable Ruler (DVD, 2005)

Out of the 3 movies that have come out so far, this is the one I like best b/c it affords more insight into who Inuyasha is. This is the only time I've ever seen Inuyasha's father in human form (granted I haven't seen the 4th movie or all of the seasons). But so far as official releases here in the US, this is the only instance we have of knowing what his father was like both as a person & physically. This movie however has absolutely nothing to do w/ the Shikon jewel nor Naraku. This is a far deviation from the plot of the whole show & merely serves as background for Inuyasha fans. It tells of Inuyasha's birth & traces the history of their swords. The whole story is about overcoming one's differences to work together to defeat a more powerful foe. If anything else, watch it for the first 15 minutes where they show Inuyasha's birth--such a cute baby.

I agree with most others in that this 3rd movie is the best Inuyasha movie yet. The first and second movie was OK but this one is definately better. You have 2 arch rival brothers joining forces to defeat an evil sword. The plot and storyline is good and interesting. Don't get me wrong, I love Inuyasha movies and the whole series, but I think they should stop it because it is getting little boring.

I highly admire the whole Inuyasha TV Series. When I found out about the 3rd Movie coming out, I was very excited to see it. I saw it air on [adultswim] a few years back. I've looked for this movie at a lot of stores, but could not find it in stock. So, I decided to buy it off ebay, and now its a treasured movie in my DVD collection. It is a must-have in any Inuyasha fan's home.

Awesome movie! I highly recommend this for any Inuyasha fanatic. Sesshomaru receives a large part and does not disappoint. You also get to see the back story between Inuyasha's parents (and yes you do get to see his father). If you love Inuyasha don't miss out on this one!

i am in love with it i got it 1/12/10 but it was worth the wait. it is full of drama, action, romance, comedy, and the best movie yet. my granddaughter loves it too. i love inuyasha and sailor moon. if there was a season of inuyasha i would be one of the first to buy it.
