This scanner is just what we neded and it works great. In the 70's we took mostly slides of our kids. We wanted to share these with the family so several years ago we bought a VuPoint Digital Scanner. It was so slow that we could only copy about 30 slides an hour. We lost interest and stopped using it. We got a new computer with Windows 7 and tried it again. It only worked with XP. Our new ION PICS2SD scanner is fast using both slides and photos. We are now putting together DVD's of our slides and pictures for our daughters.
Very happy with this unit. It pays to shop around for the best price. Ours was new and in the factory box. about half the price of retail stores.

I have not tried any other products like this, but overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. Some of my slides had peoples' faces too bright, but that could have been the slide itself.

) I've had a wonderful time scanning photos into this unit. Have, yet, to try scanning negatives. The scanner is quick and efficient. I scanned 362 photos in 3 1/2 hours; it's addictive! I do think the photos are a shade darker than the original . . . but so far, I'm happy to have this! Cannot wait to complete the THOUSANDS of photos I have; am going to be able to finally organize the many still not in photo albums!

Easy to use, works way better than expected,scanned thousands of pics and slides, can not imagine there is a scanner out there that is easier to use or any better pic quality then this one.

) Product worked as described. I had several slides to transfer and the project was quick and easy. I used the item as a stand alone, transferring prints to an SD card then to my computer.
Because I did the transfer in this manner I have no data as to the ease of a transfer directly into your computer.
