This iRobot Scooba 380 Robotic Cleaner was cleaning rather well after few days of fiddling around to charge the battery. Next step was to buy the "Irobot" cleaning solution, preferably the type using natural enzymes which removes bacteria also. Do invest in extra Virtual Wall Units to confine the floor cleaning to a certain area. Its four stages of cleaning is so well designed that there is no need to hire a maid to mop the floor, thus more cost-savings are expected in the long run. There was need for occasional hands-on for mopping the corners which cannot be done by this Robotic Cleaner - minor inconveniences. The best is the visual entertainment value of watching this Robotic Cleaner doing its job and the satisfaction of it doing well. Bye for now from sunny Singapore.

Pros: Yes, the Scooba really cleans and cleans good. This is a nice thing to leave it working and walk away. You come back and find your floor already clean. The cleaning solution sold (overpriced) was easily replaced with the one we had at home and got the same results.

Cons: The navigation part is really stupid. If you think it will go through the rooms cleanin them one by one - you wrong. It will clean one room, going to the same place over and over. This thing doesn't have any smart navigation, it just running between bumps, going back and fourth, leaving spots or mistakenly go away from the room. It will easily get stuck in the bathroom being unable to get out by himself.

Finally I am using the Scooba to clean the living room only and I have good results. I am using two walls to limit the area to the living room. This is still a gadget that is unable to replace the old good manual floor wash.

Visiting a friend of mine I was shown this iRobot Scooba & iRobot Roomba. I have 10 dogs living here in the north west with all the ice, snow, mud, twigs sticking to my dogs every time they go outside. My kitchen floor was a mess even though I mopped it 4 times a day. Scooba seemed like the better way to go, saving me so much time in mopping and keeping my floors much cleaner. It is truely amazing! My floors are so squeeky clean! It picks up all the dirt, dust, pet hair, food crumbs, pebbles, everything. Vacumes, washes, scrubs, rinse clean & squeege damp dry. Rinse out the dirty holding tank, brush, plug it in and it is ready to go when you are! Very easy to maintain! Should have bought one years ago. I like it so well I just ordered the Roomba for the carpets.
Beware buyers!!!! There are several sellers of these iRobot products. I have found out that there is only 1 authorized distributor, seller of iRobot here on eBay.

Perfect cleaner for my house, the flooring of which is made of tiles and hardwood. I have used the machine once and it really is very thorough. There are two cons that I observed: 1st - it takes times for the floor to dry so I have to use a drying cloth; 2nd - you have to clean thoroughly the brush and other parts after using, which really takes some time. I wish this is a self cleaning machine. I think next time I use it, it's better to vacuum first before using the iRobot Scooba 380 cleaner. It is a great, awesome machine.

It's not a bad idea~I have the roomba vaccuums both upstairs & downstairs. The scooba leaves water on the floor, which is ok if you don't need to go in that room for an hour or so. I use the vinegar mix instead of the pricey cleaning fluid you can buy. All in all a good product, just don't scrub the hardened stuff off the floor~you can pretreat that by spraying it with cleaner ahead of time, before you scooba the room.
